We want to reassure all that Egypt remains a safe and peaceful destination.

​What you need to know:

✅️ Egypt is not involved in these military operations. There are no American or Israeli military bases in the country, and Egypt is not a target of the current situation.

✅️ Distance is Key: Cairo is over 2,500 km away from the conflict zone. Egypt is geographically far from the current events. (Cairo - Tehran 2500 km, Cairo - Dubai 3000 km)✈️

✅️ The favorite tourist spots, such as Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Cairo, Luxor, and Sharm El Sheikh, are operating normally with no security concerns. ☀️

✅️ Flights are Running: International airports are open, and flights are arriving as scheduled.

​Egypt is not part of these regional events and continues to welcome visitors with open arms.

✨ Mount Arafat… where souls rise and heaven listens ✨

From sunrise until sunset on the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah (Lunar Calendar).
This sacred day known as the Day of Arafah holds unmatched spiritual power.
It’s the heart of Hajj… and the gateway to renewal.

In the desert near Mecca stands a small mountain —
Not the tallest, not the widest, but perhaps the most sacred.
This is Mount Arafat, where the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stood in the most powerful moment of divine connection.

🕋 This is where Hajj becomes complete.
This is where hearts pour out, tears fall freely, and forgiveness rains down from the sky.

📜 It was here that the Prophet ﷺ delivered his Farewell Sermon —
A timeless message of justice, unity, and human dignity.

🫶 Some say Adam and Eve were reunited here after being separated,
and they “recognized” each other — giving the mountain its name: Arafat (recognition).

🔥 On this day, ego disappears. Status dissolves.
Everyone stands as one — hearts open, eyes wet, souls whispering:
“O Allah, forgive, guide, and renew us.”

🌙 As the sun sets, a new chapter begins…
The next day — the 10th of Dhul Hijjah — is Eid al-Adha,
the Festival of Sacrifice, celebration, and deep spiritual meaning.

The Day of Arafah is your moment to reconnect with the Divine.

As part of the ongoing final preparations for the official opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, scheduled for July 3, the museum will be temporarily closed from June 15 to July 5, 2025.
During this period, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities will carry out a number of organizational and logistical operations inside the museum.
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, confirmed that the museum will reopen to visitors following the official inauguration, during its regular operating hours, allowing guests to enjoy the full museum experience.
