Finally home after a lovely week away in Morocco, and I felt it was worth sharing a review — something I don’t often do.
We stayed at AQI Aqua Mirage, and I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. We usually choose higher-end 4* and 5* hotels, as we work hard and naturally expect a certain standard. This trip slightly broke our usual pattern, but it absolutely exceeded expectations.
I enjoy travelling to a variety of destinations, not only because the world is vast and full of incredible places to explore, but also because it allows me to give my customers genuine, firsthand advice based on real experiences.
With European destinations offering no real guarantee of hot weather, we decided to take a bit of a gamble on Morocco — especially given the price. It paid off. The experience went well beyond what we anticipated.
The food was very good and, in all honesty, better than some 4* and even 5* resorts we’ve stayed at. The resort itself is large, well-maintained, and offers excellent facilities including football pitches, tennis courts, adults-only areas, and a brilliant aqua park. Both the resort and rooms were exceptionally clean, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous room sizes.
We took a few short trips earlier in the week due to some rain, visiting M Avenue and Menara Mall, which were far more relaxed compared to the Medina. While we didn’t visit the Medina ourselves, we’d certainly heard plenty about it.
We also did the Quads and camel on a private trip rather than a group with Allo Experience and they was very good
If you’re open-minded and looking for an affordable short break or a week away, I genuinely believe you can’t go wrong with AQI Aqua Mirage.
Btw the New Years eve build up of full day activities is brilliant not sure if it just this hotel in Morocco like this but you can see why it is so popular just for that along with the entertainment team
