Red Sea Governor Performs Eid al-Adha Prayer at the Grand Mosque in Hurghada Amidst a Large Congregation
Dr. Walid al-Barqi, Governor of the Red Sea, performed the Eid al-Adha prayer this morning at the Grand Mosque in Hurghada, amidst a large congregation of citizens.
This took place in the presence of Major General Assem al-Sharif, First Assistant Minister of Interior for the Southern Region; Major General Ayman al-Hamzawi, Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of Security for the Red Sea; Major General Tamer Adel, Director of National Security; Brigadier General Mohamed al-Sayed Talba, Military Advisor to the Governor; Engineer Hassan Muwafi, Secretary-General; Major General Diaa al-Din Qutb, Assistant Secretary-General; and a number of security and executive leaders in the governorate.
The mosque witnessed a large influx of worshippers who came to perform the Eid prayer in an atmosphere of joy and spirituality.
Following the prayer, the Governor extended his congratulations to the people of the governorate and to the Egyptian people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, praying to God that it returns to everyone with goodness, prosperity, and blessings, and that He continues to bestow upon Egypt the blessings of security and stability under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. For his part, Sheikh Hossam Mahmoud, Imam of the Port Mosque, emphasized during his Eid sermon that holidays represent seasons of goodness, compassion, and strengthening family ties. He pointed out that Eid al-Adha is a great day in which the meanings of righteousness, tolerance, and social solidarity are manifested through generosity towards family and assistance to the poor and needy.
At the conclusion of the rituals, citizens were keen to congratulate the governor and take commemorative photos with him, expressing their happiness at his sharing in their Eid celebrations.
