We are pleased to announce that the Royal Evolution has successfully completed its recent drydock period,
during which all keel repairs were finalized to the highest technical and safety standards. The work included
full structural reinforcement, alignment verification, and comprehensive post repair testing.
Following these procedures, the vessel has been relaunched in excellent condition and fully cleared for safe
sea operations.
We are now ready to resume our scheduled trips starting the trip dated 4th December 2025 and continue
providing the safe, comfortable, and high-quality experience you have come to expect from us.
We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued trust throughout this brief

Dear Partners, Colleagues, and Members of the Diving Community,

Following the recent grounding incident involving Royal Evolution in the Abu Dabbab area, we would like to begin by extending our sincere apologies to the entire diving community. The contact between our vessel’s keel and the reef was deeply regrettable , especially as we have always been committed to protecting and preserving the marine environment throughout our long history in the diving industry, for the sake of present and future generations.

On behalf of the entire crew of the liveaboard Royal Evolution, we wish to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all the organizations and individuals who offered their support and assistance during this challenging time.

The vessel was lifted yesterday at Safaga Dry Dock for keel repairs under the supervision of the international classification society Bureau Veritas, and operations are expected to resume shortly.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the autopilot unexpectedly altered course by several degrees. Upon realizing this, the skipper made the difficult decision to steer the vessel’s bow toward the reef, preventing a far more serious incident that could have resulted from a side impact.

An official statement will be issued soon.

بعد حادثة الجنوح الأخيرة التي تعرّض لها يخت سفاري الغوص رويال إيفولوشن (Royal Evolution) في منطقة أبو دباب، نود أن نبدأ بتقديم خالص اعتذارنا إلى مجتمع الغوص بأكمله. إن ملامسة عارضة اليخت للشعاب المرجانية كان أمرًا مؤسفًا، خاصةً وأننا لطالما التزمنا، على مدى تاريخنا الطويل بسياحة الغوص، بحماية البيئة البحرية والحفاظ عليها من أجل الأجيال الحالية والمستقبلية.

وبالنيابة عن طاقم اليخت رويال إيفولوشن، نتقدم بجزيل الشكر والتقدير لكل الكيانات والأفراد الذين قدموا دعمهم ومساندتهم لنا خلال هذا الوقت الصعب.

تم رفع اليخت أمس في الحوض الجاف بمدينة سفاجا لإصلاح العارضة (الكيـل) تحت إشراف هيئة الإشراف الدولية (Bureau Veritas)، ومن المتوقع معاودة العمل قريبًا.

تشير التحقيقات الأولية إلى أن الطيار الآلي( Auto Pilot ) قام بتغيير مفاجئ في المسار بعدة درجات. وعند إدراك ذلك، قرر قائد اليخت بتوجيه مقدمة السفينة نحو الشعاب المرجانية لتفادي وقوع حادث أكثر خطورة كان يمكن أن ينتج عن اصطدام جانبي.

Dive into Adventure: Sharks, Wrecks, and Reefs Await

We are thrilled to announce the discovery of a plane wreck in the Deep South of the Egyptian Red Sea waters.

The wreck rests at a depth ranging from 5 to 14 meters on the sandy bottom adjacent to an unnamed reef. Despite minimal damage, notable features such as the propellers and most instruments are missing.

The front of the plane marking the deepest point, while the tail unit points towards the reef.

There is coral growth on the wreck, it teems with a diverse array of fish both inside and around the plane. offers some surprises, such as sightings of the rare Arabian angelfish.

We are actively seeking further information about this wreck and will provide updates as they become available.

Here are the key details we currently know about the aircraft:

Aircraft Model: Grumman HU-16 Albatross

-The Grumman HU-16 Albatross was an amphibious airplane manufactured in the United States between 1947 and 1959.
It was primarily utilized by the US Navy and Coast Guard.

-The last model was in service until 1991 with the Indonesian military.

-The length of the plane is approximately 20 meters with a wingspan of 30 meters.

-It typically accommodated a crew of 2 to 6 members.

We are pleased to report a successful complete refurbishment for all our accommodation cabins, lounge, dining area and many upgrades on the Royal Evolution.
- The cabins were all replaced with new state of the art wood beds, cupboard, desk, chairs along with new cabin & en-suite doors.
- All salon wood floor coverings were replaced as well as new sofas & chairs with new upholstery on the seating areas.
- Two new membranes were installed for our state of the art Nitrox blending system to inssure ample of Nitrox filling up to 40% along with new fresh water pressure tanks.
- All dive and dive platform decks were recoated with Tuffcoat none-skid covering.
- New tender engines were installed.
- New ice machine installed in the salon & sundeck bar.
- The cabins were totally Spring cleaned new linens we added,
- All 27 A/C units removed and serviced.
- We installed a complete safety and security TV monitoring system throughout the boat.
- Complete service for all our machinery ( propulsion engines, generators, HP compressors, water desalination units, pumps, etc…) were carrying out successfully.
- To insure the maximum comfort during our sailing a new shock absorbers & flexible coupling have been replaced for our propulsion engines along with new shaft rubber bearings.

It was a very busy time. We are all very excited to welcome our upcoming guests to our updated beautiful vessel.
A very BIG “Well done & thank you” to all our crew, engineers, painters and A/C technicians that made this tasks very successful.
