From the Amenti Rite of Passage Teen Retreat.

The western world seems to demand that teenagers decide what they want to do with their life when they've barely experienced it. In a fast paced ever-changing world, perhaps a more helpful thing for them to uncover is "Who are you, really?"

This Creative Wellness Teen Retreat is a unique offering, utilising a combination of creative and wellness tools to co-create a 'Coming of Age' Ritual Performance which will be shared with the parents.

This journey will help each beautiful soul to gain a deeper understanding and connection with themselves, each other and the land. With a combination of creativity and wellness practices, each participant will be equipped with new skills to help navigate their life and maintain connection with their own innate wisdom.

It will be running alongside the Amenti Women's Retreat which is enjoying it's 5th year in Luxor, Egypt, this year. An ideal opportunity for Mothers to experience a beautiful, meaningful transformational retreat while their Teens are well nourished. Mothers and Teens programme runs seperately and reconnect in the evening for over night is their villa.

Women and Teens will be in separate Valleys.

For the Women this is our mini vision quest night! A chance for you to surrender and dive deep! 🙏🏽

The Teens will be combining their new skills and inspiration from their temple visit & ancient initiations to create a Ritualistic Performing Arts Piece.

This will be shared with the parents on the last day. As a modern day Rite of Passage, deeply honouring each student as they vision and embody who they are becoming as they step towards adulthood.

A coming of age initiation created in collaboration with participants to mark this important time on their development.

To symbolise this moment in time, drawing upon ancient wisdoms and modern creative tools, as a modern day Rite of Passage.

SEKHMET

One of the more known Neteru's (gods) in Ancient Egypt is Sekhmet. Daughter of Ra, the Sun God.

Her story teaches us about our inner power, fire and fierceness. It teaches us how this inner fire can be either serving a higher purpose...how it helps us stand for what we believe in, how it helps us set boundaries and fiercely protect that which is sacred to us...
or be destructive and causing great harm...

Learning to befriend our inner fire is a powerful and necessary step in our journey of embodying our true sovereign power...and learning to use that for a higher cause and for the benefit of all.

If we don't , and we suppress this energy, it will become harmful, either to us or to others around us.
Suppressed anger is causing a lot of the terrible things we see playing out in the world today.

During our retreats we work with the mythology of Sekhmet to alchemize any fear, judgements, shame around our inner fire...and learn to embody it in a sovereign way.

Happy birthday to our starchef Hani! 🥳🎊🎈

During our retreats in Egypt this wonderful man cooks deliscious and fresh meals for us with so much love!
Did you know he won the award of best chef in Luxor?!

But not only that - he truly became part of our retreat family and we are so grateful for all that he brings in as a cherished team member.
He is a beacon of light in the kitchen and beyond, and so far he has stolen the hearts (and stomachs 🙃) of ALL of our participants - So far every single one of them has wanted to take him home after the retreat 😉

He will make sure you feel deeply nourished in between our morning practices, temple visits and our inner / energetic work during the program of the retreat!

Hani is arguably our most important team member, as the one who provides and prepares our beautiful meals for us! Nourishment is an incredibly important factor in our transformational process.

As the soul is nourished by Amentet the Goddess of the West, so Hani takes care of the nourishment of the body… he is a living embodiment of the divine provider!

He ensures that we feel the sense of abundance with he careful and heart centred food procurement and preparations…

Hani has won prestigious awards multiple years running for his contributions to culinary tourism in Luxor by the Ministry of Tourism.
