▫️The exquisitely preserved remains of Thuya reveal a woman of about fifty to sixty years, who would have stood around 145cm tall (4 ft 9 in).

Thuya and her husband Yuya of (modern Sohag Governorate) were the parents of Queen Tiye, the esteemed Great Royal Wife of King Amenhotep III, and grandparents of . Their son Anen also held the high offices of “Chancellor of Lower Egypt”, “Second Prophet of Amun”, and “Sem-Priest of Heliopolis”. It has also been proposed that King Ay, who later ascended the throne after Tutankhamun, may have been another child of Yuya and Thuya.
