Dear friends, followers and guests. And everybody beyond.

And just like that… our first season at the World Schooling Hub in Luxor has come to an end.
May 1st marked our last official day — and what a journey it’s been.

Seven incredible months of learning, growing, laughing, exploring…
Of early mornings under the Colossi, messy hands full of clay, and stories whispered under mango trees.
Of friendships made, horizons widened, and minds opened — both big and small.

To our amazing team: thank you for showing up with heart, every single day.
To the parents: thank you for trusting us with your most precious ones.
And to the children: thank you for teaching us as much as we hoped to teach you.
You made the Hub a place of magic.

Now, as the last little feet have left our garden, we’re taking a breath — a well-deserved break.
But this is not goodbye.
We’ll be back on October 1st, ready to start a brand new season with more experience, more ideas, and even more love to give.

Until then — we wish you all a beautiful summer.
Stay curious, stay kind, and…

Ma’a Salaama from Luxor.

Greetings friends, followers and guests. And everybody beyond.

I‘m sitting at my favourite hub spot, under the eucaliptus tree. The hub is quiet, I can here the chef in the kitchen preparing lunch. The birds are chatting and in the distance a motorbike is passing. Its Monday and its hot.

We‘re two weeks away from ending our first season and I‘m a bit melancholic. No way it is already seven month since we started last October first! Time has flown by at warp speed I feel. We have done so much with the kids, learned so much with them and have made a lot of new experiences. Many a team meeting where we discussed cultural differences, looked back over the past week and ahead to the next.

Our team is my pride and joy. This includes also our artist in residence; he is very dedicated to the hub, loves the kids and we consider him part of the team.

We had wonderful families here these past seven months, including the present ones. Particularly the great start last October we owe to two great families to whom we will be eternally greatful. We love and miss them and can‘t wait to see them again. Because yes, they are coming back! That will be interesting, right 😊?

Last week I had a long discussion with our accountant about the equal salary policy we have. He cannot understand it but I have to tell you: it works. We‘re paying living salaries, we all get the same amount and there‘s full transparency on this. We never had a single discussion about it since we started. Not one.

There will by a few minor changes we need to implement for the next season, but in general we have done well and will continue with the concept. There‘s always room for growth and we have tons of ideas.

I feel calm and thankful that all worked out well. And once April is over I will be looking forward to October and to many more adventures.

Ma‘Salaama!

Dear friends, followers and guests. And everybody beyond.

In the soft light of dawn, we stood before the temple of Hatshepsut—built against the towering cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. As the sun rose over Luxor, golden rays touched the stone, just as they had nearly 3,500 years ago, when one of Egypt’s most remarkable rulers walked these very grounds.

Hatshepsut—pharaoh, builder, pioneer. She ruled not with war, but with vision. She sent trade expeditions to the Land of Punt, enriched Egypt’s wealth, and left behind some of the most breathtaking monuments of the ancient world.

She dressed as a king, wore the false beard of pharaohs—not to disguise herself, but to transcend gender and claim her rightful place in history.

Being here, in the silence of the early morning, surrounded by children and families, we felt the echo of her strength. A woman ahead of her time. A leader who built, nurtured, and imagined. And as the sunlight filled the temple, it felt like her spirit was welcoming us into her story.

After the wonder of the temple, we made our way to Abdu’s—a local gem tucked away in the heart of the West Bank. Nothing fancy, just the soul of Egypt on a plate.

The table filled quickly: fresh eggs, still hot from the pan. Golden french fries and traditional fool. Sweet tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, onions with a kick. And the star of the show: ta’ameya, Upper Egypt’s green falafel, made with fava beans and fresh herbs—light, earthy, and absolutely delicious.

We shared plates, broke baladi bread, and laughed together—parents, children, coaches, all one big family.

It wasn’t just breakfast. It was community. It was culture. It was the taste of Egypt in every bite. And after such an inspiring morning, there was no better way to feel grounded—full, connected, and so very alive.

Ma‘Salaama!

Dear friends, followers and guests. And everybody beyond.

This past Ramadan was a truly special time for all of us at the Egyptian Adventures Worldschooling Hub in Luxor. Together with the Egyptian Food Bank, we organized four meaningful community events that brought the true spirit of Ramadan to life—generosity, compassion, and unity.

Throughout the month, our children, our team, and volunteers came together to prepare and distribute 70 carefully packed food boxes to families in need across our community. Each box was filled with essential items to support a family throughout the holy month. But that wasn’t all. Alongside the food boxes, we also prepared and handed out hot meals, ensuring that even more people could enjoy a nourishing Iftar.

At the 3rd event we were able to serve meals to 500 people. These were not just moments of giving—they were moments of connection. Watching the children take part in every step of the process, from organizing donations to preparing boxes and serving meals, was deeply moving. They learned not only about the importance of charity, but also about empathy, teamwork, and the joy of giving.

One of the most heartwarming events of the month was when we invited 46 guests to our hub for a shared Iftar. We set the tables, prepared a warm and delicious meal, and welcomed our guests with open hearts. It wasn’t just about offering food—it was about sharing a moment together. Sitting side by side, talking, laughing, breaking the fast together—it brought everyone closer, across all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life.

These events left a lasting impression on all of us. For our team and for the children, this month was a time of real-world learning, deep community engagement, and heartfelt togetherness. It reminded us all how powerful it is when we come together with a shared purpose.

We are endlessly grateful to everyone who donated, participated, and supported us along the way. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

This Ramadan has brought us closer—to each other and to our community. And one thing is certain: we will definitely do this again next year.

Ma‘Salaama!

Dear friends, followers and guests. And everybody beyond.

On a sunny Luxor morning , we all climbed aboard the mighty motorboat Titanic — yes, that Titanic, but don’t worry, this one floats just fine.
Coaches, kids, parents… even the shy ones couldn’t resist the call of the Nile and the beat of the tambourine.
Up the river we danced, down the river we sang — a joyful parade of barefoot philosophers and wild little historians. Someone even brought snacks, which officially made them the hero of the day.

The Nile sparkled, the breeze danced with us, and the Titanic… well, she survived the trip. Barely.

It was one of those days that reminds us: learning doesn’t always happen in a classroom. Sometimes, it happens on a boat named after a disaster, with music in your ears and sunshine in your heart.
