One of the most interesting scenes of Akhetaten which is known as “The window of appearance” it shows the king followed by his family overlooking from the balcony of their royal palace giving golden necklaces to the high officials of their court. It is almost could be seen in every tomb of the nobles in Amarna city.

Hermopolis Magna or Khmunu (“City of the Eight”), it was the capital of the Hare nome (province), the 15th nome of Upper Egypt. The great deity worshiped there was Thoth, god of learning and patron of scribes.
