اThe manta ray, also known as the "devil fish"
due to its unique shape, is not dangerous all. The manta ray can reach a width of about
meters or more and sometimes weighs over 1300 kilograms. It has an amazing ability to swim in the oceans with speed and flexibility, thanks to its large fins.
The manta ray relies on a unique feeding technique called **filter feeding**, where it opens its large mouth while swimming to filter water for small plankton such as crustaceans, small fish, and fish eggs. It has rows of gills that act as a net to capture food and let the water pass through.
The manta ray reproduces very slowly, with the female usually giving birth to only one offspring after a long gestation period of up to 12 months. This slow growth makes the manta ray more vulnerable to the threat of extinction.

المانتا راي يعتمد على تقنية فريدة في التغذية تُسمى الترشيح (Filter Feeding)، حيث يفتح فمه الكبير أثناء السباحة ليقوم بتصفية الماء من العوالق الصغيرة مثل القشريات، والأسماك الصغيرة، وبيض الأسماك. لديه صفوف من الخياشيم التي تعمل كشبكة لالتقاط الطعام وترك الماء يمر.
المانتا راي يتكاثر ببطء شديد، حيث تلد الأنثى عادةً مولودًا واحدًا فقط بعد فترة حمل طويلة تصل إلى 12 شهرًا. هذا النمو البطيء يجعل المانتا راي أكثر عرضة لخطر الانقراض
