BREAKING NEWS!
The law of the new additional levies has been suspended for the time being for all areas outside the current National Parks in Egypt. The National Parks are of course still subject to the same entry fees as previously.
We would like to thank all our colleagues, who have showed during the last days that unity is strength, our guests who have supported us 100%, the many people, who have sent us hundreds of emails, WhatsApp messages etc. (sorry, we cannot answer all and everyone, it is simply too much - but we REALLY DO APPRECIATE your support!) and last but not least the various government entities, who have helped and supported to find a solution for the time being. We sincerely hope that common sense will prevail also in the future.
TOMORROW BUSINESS AS USUAL – THANK YOU!!!

Das Gesetz über die zusätzlichen Abgaben wurde vorerst für alle Gebiete zurückgezogen, die außerhalb der bestehenden Nationalparks in Ägypten liegen! Für die Nationalparks werden selbstverständlich weiterhin dieselben Gebühren fällig wie vorher auch.
Bedanken möchten wir uns von Herzen bei allen Kollegen die in den letzten Tagen am gleichen Strang gezogen und gezeigt haben, dass Einigkeit eine große Stärke ist, bei unseren Gästen die voll hinter uns gestanden haben, bei den vielen Menschen, die uns hunderte E-Mails, WhatsApp Nachrichten etc. geschickt haben (entschuldigt bitte, dass wir nicht jedem einzeln antworten können. Wir haben uns SEHR darüber gefreut, aber es sind einfach viel, zu viele Nachrichten) und zu guter Letzt bei den verschiedenen Behörden, dem Gouverneur, Küstenwache etc. die in stundenlangen Verhandlungen geholfen haben eine tragfähige Lösung für den Moment zu finden. Wir hoffen wirklich, dass sich der gesunde Menschenverstand auch in Zukunft durchsetzen wird.
MORGEN LÄUFT ALLES WIEDER NORMAL – VIELEN DANK!!!

Egypt Air magazine Cover photo - June 2018

As we learned yet again has not caught on to target oriented advertisement strategies of today's time. And shocks us again with their lack of knowledge when it comes to environmental issues and Tourism in general in our destination . We and several organizations as well as diving community have been working hard over years protect our natural resources and to promote sustainable tourism with many obstacles facing us and yet this advertisement sends the wrong image out and is NOT by any means beneficial to tourism encouragement. This picture and their ads are sending a completely wrong statement out. Unfortunately Agypt Air officials and editors of the magazine are not familiar with any of the regulations or the environmental law or even what type of marketing needed for our destination.

As a result of yesterday campaign, sharing the photo by hundreds of concerned individuals and a successful communication with EGYPT Air and the agency responsible for the magazine , they apologized for the picture and the lack of their knowledge about these issues and promised to revise any article about tourism and environment with HEPCA and CDWS in the future , and also promised to issue an article about encounter dolphins in natural habitat with the code of conduct in August issue.

Of course the harm has been done , but we all proved that we can reach some result when we all cooperate and work together.

WOW! Ein an unserem Hausriff in der Soma Bay! Es ist erst der 1. April und wir haben schon viele tolle Sachen gesehen. Mal schauen was das restliche Jahr noch bringt....
