Dendera Temple is one of the best preserved Egyptian temples, a verse in architecture, a unique example in the arts, and a comprehensive book of Egyptian religious thought.

The oldest buildings discovered so far date back to the era of King Khufu, who built the main cabin of the goddess Hathor. Some of the kings of the ancient state made many additions, including King Pepi I, whose name was written in one of the inscriptions, and another cabin dating from the era of the Eleventh dynasty

Dendera Temple is one of the few temples where the Trinity is worshiped; The first is the Trinity of Hathor and the second is Osiris. The temple is famous for the astronomical scenes depicted on the ceiling, as well as the many scenes depicting kings and emperors making offerings to the gods.
