Moses mountain
Climbing mount Sinai is a symbol of a spiritual pathway and, by a legend, it gives you cleansing from your sins. Along to the biblical story, on this mountain God gave Moses a revelation of 10 commandments. This peak has religious significance to Islam as the place where Mohammed's horse, Boraq, ascended to heaven. Also you are going to see an ancient St. Catherine’s monastery and the legendary Burning Bush. The 7,497 foot mountain has 3,750 steps hewn out of stone by monks of St. Catherine's Monastery. St. Catherine Monastery
Get a chance to see one of the world’s oldest monastery. There is a magnificent mosaic depicting the transfiguration of Jesus in the apse inside the church. It is the earliest and one the most beautiful mosaics of the eastern church and has remained in its entirety to our days. The burning bush which flourishes several yards farther from the chapel where it was transplanted in order to build the holy Alter upon its roots.
