Res Mohammed White lsland
Sharm El Sheikh 🇪🇬
A wonderful day on board offers the opportunity to combine luxury with great snorkeling (lunch and soft drinks provided). There will be 3 stops (one of which is on White Island) where you can snorkel with or without your guide if you are confident enough, and here you will have the opportunity to see some amazing coral reefs and many different types of fish.
Ras Mohammed Park marks the transition point of the shallow Gulf of Suez into the deep, transcontinental Gulf of Aqaba, a small part of the Grift Valley that extends deep into Africa.
Although not huge in size, Ras Mohammed contains a stunning array of wildlife, including northern desert gazelle and brilliant orange coral.
Ras Mohammed's borders extend far into the surrounding waters, and even the most seasoned visitors are amazed by the sea-dominated expanse of the park. Even the park's dryland area seems part of the marine world: in the north, large sand dunes are interspersed with Miocene limestone outcrops that contain an astonishing wealth and variety of marine fossils. In fact, the dramatic promontory that marks the southern tip of Sinai belongs partly to the sea; it is in fact a huge fossilized coral reef that has been high and dry for tens of thousands of years.
For many visitors, Ras Mohammed's most stunning landscape can be found underwater, in the vast coral reefs and terraces that surround the peninsula. Fire corals and magnificent sea fans abound here, and among these lush corals roam a truly impressive array of corals and pelagic fish – more than a thousand species in all.
