👷‍♂️Casa Con Vista - Man Cave Project Update👷‍♀️

Work on developing the under build continues albeit not at the rate of progress we initially hoped.

The delay in the rate of progress was admittedly completely self inflicted via the decision to effectively double the size of the area via opening up another part of the under build.

Consequently, the timescale on project completion now looks more like the end of this year before it will be fit for humans.

However, as they say - 'all good things come to those who wait'!!

Its been a busy 'off season' at Casa Con Vista preparing the villa for the coming season.

Aside from the usual annual maintenance work, we have added some additional 'features' and improvements to what already existed with the objective of maximising the enjoyment for all CCV guests.

A few of such additional features and improvements include;

> Installation of ceiling fans in all bedrooms
> Refurbishment of outside BBQ area
> Additional Solar renewable energy
> Additional & Improved smart lighting
> Installation of an outside projector and screen in BBQ area
> Installation of ceiling mounted X-Box console in Terrace Room
> Additional Sonos Smart Speakers

Separately, work is now underway developing a significant area of the under build at CCV to facilitate a new 'entertainment' area.

Perhaps some would guess what's going on in the under build area looks like its intended use when complete could be labelled a 'Man Cave'🤔😁😁. That wouldn't be a bad guess !!!

It is still relatively early days with the under build development, however we hope stage 1 will be complete and ready for 'humans' (not just men!!!!) around May this year.

Whilst the regularity of our social media postings would suggest otherwise – it has nonetheless been a busy season at Casa Con Vista.

Somehow our amazing luck continues with regards the quality of the absolutely superb guests to the villa.

The positive feedback we have had from CCV guests this year is once again immeasurable in terms of the happiness it provides to us in the knowledge that CCV has provided for others, the same pleasure it always provides for us.

The photos attached were taken around a week ago and provided to us by the last group of this season’s guests who (consistent with all other guests this year) would be welcome back anytime.

As per the saying………..a photo (or two)………'tells a thousand words'!!!!

Just a shame that this group of 9 lovely ladies declined to sanction the publication of some hilarious video footage captured during their stay!!🤣

Casa Con Vista is delighted to have hosted once again the Clark family (featuring Paul, Caroline, Eilidh & Ruan) this week. Team Clark can now be ranked in the Casa Con Vista Stalwarts status with this last visit being their fourth in a little over two years.

If the quality of the villa and facilities could even comparatively speaking compete in the same league as the quality of this superb family – then job done!!!!

The 'seasons' first guests departed Casa Con Vista today and we are delighted that their feedback of both the villa, Moraira and surrounding area was all very positive.

The pleasure it provides for us with the knowledge and feedback that our guests have very much enjoyed their break is immeasurable.

If there existed a platform where hosts where able to review/grade their guests - then our guests this week would more than merit a 5 star review.

Next Casa Con Vista guests arrive tomorrow.

Well........today unfortunately brings the end of the January visit to Casa Con Vista. Some decent work and improvements made in preparation for guest bookings throughout 2023.

What a difference even less than 1 year can make.

In January this year we made the decision to try and make use of an over grown and previously uncared for area of the plot at Casa Con Vista. Whilst this area of land on the plot cannot be accessed easily from the villa - it nonetheless can easily be seen from the villa terrace.

The perhaps ambitious objective was to transform the 'wasteland' area into a small citrus garden with one orange tree and one lemon tree.

Well.............even with the best intentions.......we certainly did not expect to be in the position to be waiting just one more month before being able to harvest our first crop of Casa Con Vista home grown oranges.

Further to our post below with feedback from guests staying during July this year – our last group of guests this year that booked out the whole of August (a 30-night stay 1st Aug – 31st Aug) have now obviously departed the villa – which effectively marks the end of the traditional high season (June – Aug). Prior to this group of guests, the longest number of nights booking we ever previously had was for 10 nights.

We were absolutely delighted with the feedback received from this family who had enjoyed their lengthy stay to the extent that they have already booked Casa Con Vista for an even longer 34 night stay next summer!

Throughout this families stay we had the pleasure of getting to know them a little via correspondence before, during and after their stay – which is something we try to do with all guests that book a stay at Casa Con Vista.

Whist this summer has only been our third summer since purchasing the villa in December 2019, and despite the obvious fact that the summers of 2020 & 2021 could not exactly be described as ‘normal’ given the travel restrictions and consequent adverse effects of any holiday plans for virtually every family – we are delighted that many of these much-valued previous guests have expressed a desire to stay again.

Consequently, we have made the decision, for a number of very good reasons, to remove the villa from being advertised on holiday villa letting platforms such as vbro.com and available to be let by anybody. Instead, the villa availability in 2023 and beyond will be restricted to any repeat guests, friends and family and also potentially anyone that makes a direct enquiry through the villa’s own website at http://www.casaconvista.net/

A couple of very welcome reviews posted onto the vbro.com portal our last two groups of guests used to book the villa subsequent to their recent stay at Casa Con Vista.

The current group of guests at the villa have recently arrived and are booked in for a 30 night stay (1st Aug - 31 Aug).

Fingers crossed their experience of Casa Con Vista is similar to these guests!!!

A few photos taken at Casa Con Vista this week in preparation for the first 'high season' guests arriving on 1st June.

The villa is now almost fully booked June, July and August. We still have availability 5th - 11th June if anyone is interested.

We are delighted to have received some photos from the first guests at Casa Con Vista this season. Eilidh (age 5) and her younger brother Ruan (age 2) along with their minders (parents!) Paul & Caroline.

It is fantastic to receive these photos from them along with a most welcome note saying how much they enjoyed their stay at the villa.

It really is most heart warming for us to be able to think/hope that Casa Con Vista has contributed a little towards such a lovely family having spent such an enjoyable and precious family holiday together.

Please excuse the 'builders bum' image (purely unintentional !!) - but taken whilst superfast (1000MB) cable fibre internet was being installed into the villa to ensure robust and high speed internet available for our future guests.

Well that's another 'bucket list' checkbox ticked. Hired a Harley Davidson from Dan at American Bike Rental & Bar in Moraira and took a tour around Costa Blanca region. Highly Recommended!!!!
