“To say at the very least, this journey changed my whole perspective on not just only traveling, but rather what ‘you could make of that which is given to you’. These things you have to go into with an open mind and looking forward to anything and everything. This trip was just that, plus more. As a student-athlete currently in season, this was a tough decision to make but one that could not be passed up. Despite knowing but only one other person on this trip, the trip itself was completely new with its location and the Trip Director, Dr. Brandon, spearheading it.”

“Every day was a new adventure and a chance to learn something new. I can say that I learned more from traveling around Chile for one week than I ever would have in a semester long class. From every tour-guide that we had, to new tastes discovered from foods, and sites that blew our minds away, it was almost impossible to favor one of the other. From traveling out of the city most days to different parts of the country, whether it was to the Mountain ranges or the Coastline, there was a different sight to enjoy every single day. As our days of the trip continued, friendships within our small group quickly grew as if we had known each other for years. To this day now almost a year later, we have all stayed in touch with each other. The experiences we embraced together will forever be remembered. Looking back, I couldn’t have asked for more impactful trip that was as engaging and memorable as our trip to Chile was. I can remember how tough it was to be back that first week after just having had the time of our lives traveling together. I guess the only thing we could look forward to after that was when we could plan another trip to visit Santiago, Chile.”

Turn that crown upside down! 👑😁

Our Mocs and Aolani were all smiles while studying abroad at Harlaxton Manor.

The constructed in 1831, is a dramatic and unforgettable country house set within 300 acres of parkland and gardens in rural Lincolnshire.🌳🍃

Our Mocs, Avery and Aolani didn’t know each other at FSC, but ended up being roommates and had the best time exploring the manor and Grantham as well as traveling the UK together.

They attended many of the day trips with the school including London, Chatsworth, Stratford-Upon-Avon, York, Cambridge, and the Lake District. During the mid-semester break, they traveled with a few friends to Poland and Prague and had an amazing time!

Around the village of Harlaxton, they had a lovely time walking through the fields of the countryside and visiting the Harlaxton Social Club where they would partake in Trivia Nights. In Grantham, they visited countless cafes and tried all of the British candy and snacks in the grocery stores. They spent quite a few weekends at the manor with their new friends enjoying the gardens and trails in the woods. They had a couple of difficult classes, but in the end I did really well in them! They were both in a drawing class and got to take back some artwork from the semester, which was really fun. They said there really aren’t words to describe just how much Harlaxton means to them but that it will stick with them forever.

London called and our student, Crimson, answered and studied abroad at Regent’s this summer!☎️🇬🇧💂🎡🚇

☎️ This symbol of British culture officially known as a K6 kiosk, was designed in 1935 to commemorate King George V. The bright red color was chosen to make them easily visible from a distance. They are often repurposed as mini-libraries, art installations, coffee stands, or even housing for defibrillators.

🕰️ Peep Big Ben - the nickname for the Great Bell of the Great Clock of Westminster which stands at the north end of the Palace of Westminster.

🚶🏻‍♀️Exploring Baker Street just a 5-minute walk from Regent’s University. The area offers a mix of shopping, dining, and cultural experiences, guided tours, including Sherlock Holmes-themed walks, Madame Tussauds and The Wallace Collection Museum showcasing works by Rembrandt, Titian, and other masters.

🎶 Dipped into the Beatles Store London, which is one of the stores on Baker Street that stocks new or original 1960s Beatles merchandise and memorabilia, from autographs to vinyl.

🎧 London’s record shop scene is thriving, with close to fifty places dotted around the capital where you can get your hands on most any tunes.

⛲️ The Queen Victoria Memorial is a monument to Queen Victoria, located at the end of The Mall in London. Designed in 1901, it was unveiled on 16 May 1911, though it was not completed until 1924.

🎭 Renamed, rebuilt and refurbished numerous times since 1705, His Majesty’s Theatre (formerly Her Majesty’s Theatre) is still at the beating heart of London’s live performance scene and you can still catch The Phantom of the Opera there!

🌳 Regent’s Park, where the university is located, has a flourishing cultural life. In 1838, The Royal Botanic Society laid out the Inner Circle with lawns and a lake, now the site of the world-famous rose collection in Queen Mary’s Gardens. It is also home to the world’s oldest scientific zoo - London Zoo.
