Park Güell in Barcelona, Spain was originally developed as a “neighborhood” for well-off families, but with a lack of sales of the land, it eventually opened to the public as a park in 1926.
It was designed by Antoni Gaudí, a renowned architect. The park is famous for its architectural elements, mosaics, history and incredible views. It was recognized as an artistic monument in 1969 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.
