What do you know about flamenco dancing? 💃🏻

Flamenco is an art form originated in Andalusia that brings together various artistic elements, such as dancing, singing and guitar playing 😊

It arose as a result of the mixing of gypsy, Arab, Christian and Jewish cultures 🌎

The bailaores and bailaoras perform each piece with arm movements, body movements and "zapateos" in accordance with each flamenco "palo", accompanied by the melody of the guitar and the deep voice of the cantaor 🎤

Today, it is an art form recognised as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO since 2010 😮

¿Qué sabes sobre el baile flamenco? 💃🏻

El flamenco es un arte originario de Andalucía que agrupa varios elementos artísticos, tales como el baile, el canto y la guitarra 😊

Surge como fruto del mestizaje cultural gitano, árabe, cristiano y judío 🌎

Los bailaores y bailaoras interpretan cada pieza con movimientos de brazos, contoneos de cuerpo y ‘zapateos’ acordes a cada palo flamenco, acompañados por la melodía de la guitarra y la voz profunda del cantaor 🎤

Hoy en día, es un arte reconocido como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad por la UNESCO desde 2010 😮

The East Side Gallery is an open-air art gallery located on a 1,316-metre section of the east side of the Berlin Wall, which was saved from demolition for this purpose 🇩🇪

It is considered to be the longest open-air art gallery in the world 🎨

The gallery consists of 103 murals painted by artists from around the world paying homage to freedom and documenting the euphoria and hope for a better world that came with the end of the Cold War 🕊 ✌️

The Luxembourg Palace (Palais du Luxembourg) is a 17th century French Baroque palace located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, France 🇫🇷

The palace, now the seat of the French Senate, was built by the architect Salomon de Brosse for Marie de Medici between 1615 and 1627 ⏳

It has undergone numerous extensions and alterations throughout its history, and the current design corresponds for the most part to the work carried out by the architect Jean-François-Thérèse Chalgrin during the First French Empire ⚔️

The palace is located in the Luxembourg garden, a private park of 22.45 hectares that belongs to the people and is open to the public ⛲️🪴

Do you know the history of the plague in Venice? 😮

The Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute was built because of the plague that in 1630 decimated the population of Venice, Italy 🇮🇹

The plague was brought to Venice by the Count of Mantua and when it came into contact with a carpenter, the infection spread throughout the city.... On 22 March 1630 the patriarch of Venice, Giovanni Tiepolo, made a promise: "I solemnly promise to erect in this city a church and dedicate it to the Blessed Virgin, calling it Saint Mary of Health, and that every year, on the day when this city is declared free of the present disease, His Serenity and his successors will solemnly go with the Senate to visit the said church in perpetual memory of public gratitude for so much benefit" ✏️

On 26 March, in St. Mark's Square, Doge Niccolò Contarini, the clergy and the people gathered to pray.... When the plague was over, 80,000 Venetians and 600,000 throughout the territory had died. Among them were the doge and the patriarch... What do you think? 👀
¿Conoces la historia de la peste en Venecia? 😮

La Basílica de Santa María de la Salud se construyó a causa de la peste que en 1630 diezmó la población de Venecia, Italia 🇮🇹

La peste fue llevada por el Conde de Mantua y al entrar en contacto con un carpintero, la infección se extendió por toda la ciudad.... El 22 de marzo de 1630 el patriarca de Venecia, Giovanni Tiepolo, hizo una promesa: "Prometo solemnemente erigir en esta ciudad una iglesia y dedicarla a la Santísima Virgen, llamándola Santa María de la Salud, y que todos los años, el día en que esta ciudad sea declarada libre de la presente enfermedad, Su Serenidad y sus sucesores irán solemnemente con el Senado a visitar dicha iglesia en memoria perpetua de la gratitud pública por tanto beneficio" ✏️

El 26 de marzo, en la plaza de San Marcos, el dogo Niccolò Contarini, el clero y el pueblo se reunieron para rezar.... Cuando la peste terminó, habían mu**to 80.000 venecianos y 600.000 en todo el territorio. Entre ellos estaban el dogo y el patriarca... ¿Qué opinas? 👀

Suleiman Mosque (Süleymaniye Camii) is an Ottoman imperial mosque located on the third hill of Istanbul, Turkey 🇹🇷

Construction work began in 1550 under Sultan Suleiman I 'The Magnificent' 👑

The interior of the mosque forms almost a square with one side measuring 59m and the other 58 m, forming a single large space. The dome is flanked by half-domes running north-south along arcades with window-filled tympana, supported by huge porphyry monoliths 😮

The interior decoration is subtle, with very restrained use of Iznik tiles. The white marble mihrab and mimbar are also simple in design, and the woodwork is restrained, with simple designs in ivory and mother-of-pearl 🪵

La Mezquita de Suleimán (Süleymaniye Camii) es una mezquita imperial otomana situada en la tercera colina de Estambul, Turquía 🇹🇷

Las obras de construcción comenzaron en 1550 bajo el mandato del sultán Suleimán I 'El Magnífico' 👑

El interior de la mezquita forma casi un cuadrado con un lado de 59m y otro de 58m, formando un único gran espacio. La cúpula está flanqueada por medias cúpulas que discurren de norte a sur a lo largo de arcadas con tímpanos llenos de ventanas, sostenidas por enormes monolitos de pórfido 😮

La decoración interior es sutil, con un uso muy comedido de los azulejos de Iznik. El mihrab y el mimbar de mármol blanco también tienen un diseño sencillo, y la carpintería es sobria, con diseños sencillos en marfil y nácar 🪵

Las Arenas de Barcelona, also known as Las Arenas, is a shopping, leisure and cultural centre opened in 2011 😮

It is located in the remodelled building of the former Las Arenas bullring in Barcelona's Plaça d'Espanya 🇪🇸

The original building, which opened in 1900, was a bullring that ceased bullfighting in 1977. It now houses the Rock Museum with the Jordi Tardà collection 🤘🎸

The complex has a floating terrace with a flexible roof that forms a square with panoramic views 👀

Las Arenas de Barcelona, también conocido como Las Arenas, es un centro comercial, de ocio y cultural inaugurado en 2011 😮

Está ubicado en el edificio remodelado de la antigua plaza de toros de Las Arenas en la plaza de España de Barcelona 🇪🇸

El edificio original, inaugurado en 1900, fue una plaza de toros que dejó de ser utilizada en 1977. Ahora alberga el Museo del Rock con la colección de Jordi Tardà 🤘🎸

El complejo cuenta con una terraza flotante con techo flexible que forma una plaza con vistas panorámicas, desde donde es posible ver la plaza de España y sus alrededores 👀
