🟡🟡5 weeks and Madrid and I needed to get everything there. Shoutout to with the hookup to help me make it there! More interior space, easy rolling, and easy to find packages helped get everything there without having to carry extra bags.

Patrick Guide… Madrid?! 🇪🇸👀

Yep — I’ve traded Barcelona for Madrid for a few weeks!

I’m here for 5 weeks in collaboration with .good.life.abroad , where I’m hosting a group of 13 travelers spending a month living in Madrid and getting to know the city beyond the typical tourist experience.

The Good Life Abroad creates community-based travel experiences for travelers 55+ who want to slow down, live more like a local, meet people, and really become part of a city for a few weeks.

And that means I’ll be spending the next few weeks exploring Madrid right alongside them — neighborhoods, history, food, day trips, local life…and probably plenty of things I haven’t discovered yet myself.

Having lead groups in Barcelona, Sevilla, and now Madrid, it’s a way of travel that I really enjoy and being able to share my experiences with an amazing group of people has been so much fun!

Started off a bit slow but Atleti dominated Osasuna with 10 shots and 69% of possession on their way to 4 goals on the night!

🚨 Make sure you’re booking your Sagrada Familia tickets in advance. Tickets are going fast and instead of a coup weeks ahead, you should now be booking over a month before.

❌Don’t make the mistake of waiting to the last minute or you might not get in!

If you waited too long, and there aren’t any tickets left in the official site, try looking for tickets on Get Your Guide or similar platforms.

You might have to pay extra for a tour but it will be cheaper than coming back on another trip!

I had such a great time on my group cruise around Spain and Portugal this past June, that I’m running it back!

But with a different route. In April 2028 we’re starting in Lisbon before hitting up Madeira, then visiting 3 of the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, and Lanzarote), visiting Agadir and Casablanca in Morocco, before finally heading back to Spain for trips to Cádiz, Granada, and Barcelona.

From March 31st to April 11th we’ll be sailing and exploring some pretty amazing places.

10 cities, 3 countries, 2 continents 🌍
