La Volta a Catalunya. Since its 1st edition in 1911, Barcelona has always been a key part of the worldwide known race, offering the departure and finishing point of the competition. Each year, the neighbors of the Montjuic are delightedly by the penultimate step of the race: cyclist racers must go up and down the hill 6 times in a row, from 0 to 105 meters....in one of the most charming surrounding of the city. Don't miss it if you are around next time you visit Barcelona.

The Marsella bar in Barcelona is 202 years old this year. Open in 1820, it saw Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Salvador Dalí among others. It is one of the oldest bars in town. It tells us about a time when Barcelona was known abroad as "The Little Manchester" for its flourishing industry. At the time, workers could hope to live 30 years if lucky. Life was tough! And most of bars served absinthe even to children - Drinking water was not common nor recommended as it is today -.

At the time, calling a bar Marsella, Berlin, London was to say: our city is open to the world and is among the ones that count !

Nowadays absinthe is still the most served beverage at Marsella. Entering the Marsella is to go back in time, some place between Peaky Blinders and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Granada. Probably the most fascinating city in Spain. A Christian city drenched by Islam. My favorite topic ever: the influence of Islam, Christianity and Judaism on each other and how our cultures are ultimately intimately connected. The beauty of studying History is to observe that we are one. 💓

On a dry day in Barcelona, I highly recommend that you rent an ebike to visit the Montjuic, discover all its hidden treasures and have a drink at Salts Terrace Bar where you'll have one of the best view of the city.

This is one of the swimming poles of the Olimpic club Picornell on the Montjuic, my gym in Barcelona.💅

It was built to held the swimming competitions during Barcelona's Olimpic games in 1992. The games that change the course of Barcelona's recent History, litteraly. Because, you see, there is a Barcelona before and a Barcelona after the Games!

That picture was taken last month when they were filming a movie about Barcelona '92. And... If you've watched 'La Casa de Papel', well, you might be happy to know that Denver was in the pool, acting, when I took it.

Early June, my friend Guy called me.

He had been given a great job opportunity in the frame of the World Mobile Congress 2021 in Barcelona. The team was looking for someone who would be a historian, local guide and an actress...in one word, they were looking for a reporter:

"I thought of you, Chloé. You can do all of that, you are a reporter you have all it requires and you will be great!"

I accepted. I wrote the scripts based on my own researches. I memorized all that was needed and performed in front of the camera. In total, we made 3 videos that were screened during the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona and around the World, simultaneously.

This was undoubtedly the most thrilling profesional chalenge since the beginning of the pandemic. And that is thanks to a friend who knows my strengths and talents.

I am now working on similar project. My friend was right: I am a reporter and I love it.

I thank my friend immensely to have trusted me and given me the opportunity to join! Your help was 🗝️ key. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I thank myself for having taken up the challenge and nailed it!
