Based in Barcelona (Spain), Ethnic Adornment has a broad collection of old genuine ethnic and tribal jewellery and other kind of ethnic ornaments. Part of the collection was acquired during trips around the world, but the main source of Ethnic Adornment compilation is based on the constant addition of pieces from auction houses, private collections and professional dealers. The information has been gathered from different sources to ensure that the descriptions are accurate.

Cone shell bracelets used as adornment and heirloom in Nothern Papua. They were traded there from the Dayak Iban people in Central Borneo. On one of them, the end is sealed with Paranarium nut paste and small beads.

Fon bracelet made of silver and worn on the upper part of the arm.
More than one hundred years ago, the elite of the Danhomé Kingdom in West Africa would have worn these silver ornaments to adorn themselves and show off their wealth, and also to protect themselves from harm and evil. Fashioned by jewelers from imported silver coins, the ornaments were embellished with tiny sculptures that refer to past kings, heroic wars, and the Vodun religion.
The coins attached to the ornaments date from between 1873 and 1910.
