🌸 Sakura season in Japan was pure MAGIC. 🇯🇵

There are some moments in life that photos and videos simply can't do justice to… and experiencing Japan during cherry blossom season is one of them.

What makes sakura season so special is how quickly it comes and goes each season. 🌸 The blossoms are only here for a short time, reminding us to slow down, appreciate the beauty around us, and live in the moment. It honestly felt surreal.

We've traveled to some incredible places, but experiencing Japan in full bloom will forever be one of our favorite travel memories. ❤️

We took "Lilly" across central Switzerland. Best decision we ever made! 😁

Lilly, of course, is our rented camervan and we borrowed it from a sweet couple in Zurich.

📱✈️ : Two apps I think every international traveler should know BEFORE leaving home: WhatsApp + WeChat.

Here in the U.S., texting is second nature. But once you travel internationally, you'll quickly discover that the rest of the world doesn't necessarily communicate the same way we do.

🌎 WhatsApp has become one of my most-used travel tools. I’ve used it to communicate with hotels, tour guides, drivers, restaurants and local businesses—often faster than email. You can message, call, share your location and send photos using Wi-Fi or mobile data instead of relying on international SMS.

🇨🇳 WeChat becomes especially important when traveling in China. Beyond messaging, it can be used for translations, payments and a huge ecosystem of services that travelers may encounter along the way.

My advice: Download and set up these apps before your trip, especially if you're heading somewhere they're commonly used.

Sometimes traveling smarter isn't about finding a secret airfare deal or saving hundreds of dollars. It's simply having the right tools already on your phone when you need them.
