Urbanvisor is about a team of local architects offering architecture tours since 2007. Architecture is our passion, Barcelona is our city, and we have a lot to share and a lot to tell. On our architecture tours, we present the architecture and the urban development of Barcelona while explaining the social and political background in an informative and enjoyable way. We aim to give visitors a diffe

rent perception of the city and to create an understanding of European urban development using Barcelona as an example. Our clients are architecture firms, municipalities, project developers, event agencies, architecture associations, housing corporations, universities, schools, and travellers. We offer ready tours and develop programs based on the client's briefs, arrange meetings with local architects and institutions and take care of the tour logistics. As local architects and Barcelona lovers who are actively shaping the city, we have excellent contacts with the local architecture and art scene. We are happy to share our knowledge and passion for everything related to architecture in Barcelona.

The session, organised at the Bernadi Hub, will be moderated by Tomas Vidal García and introduced by Sandy Brunner, architect at Studio sbA.

The roundtable discussion addresses the transformation of Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes as an example of how public space can promote urban health, social cohesion, and sustainability.

Urban planners, architects, and project participants reflect on the memory, identity, and urban future of the new square.

This activity is organised by the founders of Urbanvisor, and , with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of architecture in Barcelona.

What was once a busy traffic roundabout is now a vibrant green space nestled between , , and .

In the morning, the area is peaceful, as you can see — but by evening, it comes alive!
It’s impressive how quickly the people of Barcelona have embraced this new public space.

A year ago, under Barcelona's radiant blue sky (photos without filters), I visited the Civic Centre Cristalleries Planell in the Barrio de les Corts to plan the tailor-made tour for the Hochschule Luzern.

This architectural gem, dating back to 1913, was transformed into a civic centre in 2016. The multi-award-winning renovation by seamlessly integrates contemporary, sustainable design with the original triangular shape and historic façades.

🌱 Environmentally friendly materials, such as recycled bricks and a passive climate control system with natural air regulation and ventilation shafts, were used to enhance energy efficiency.

A perfect example of how combines its rich architectural history with modern sustainability! 🌿🏛

However, the history of the place is one where women from the nearby neighborhoods played a crucial role. They successfully pressured the managers to raise the chimneys by 20 meters to prevent dark dust and toxic pollution from affecting the neighborhood.

The artist Claire Fontaine's contribution, aptly reflect this. It highlights how women’s actions have historically led to significant changes, and if we follow their lead, we could work towards a better world.
