FOREST FIRE INFORMATION UPDATE

Throughout the night, the INFOCA operation continued working in the affected area to prevent the fire from flare-ups. The area is now under control and close to being completely extinguished.

The Benamaurel Town Council would like to express its gratitude to all the INFOCA firefighting teams and the fire stations of the Provincial Council and the Provincial Fire Consortium, as well as to the volunteers and residents who assisted in the extinguishing efforts.

The fire danger remains high, so caution is strongly recommended in any activity that poses a fire risk 👏

Fire Warning – Northern Benamaurel

INFOCA has reported a fire in the northern area of Benamaurel, with both ground and air resources already deployed.

Changeover Days in the Heat 🥵🧺🛏️

It’s a scorcher out there today, and changeover days definitely keep us on our toes but we’ve got the cave all prepped and ready for our next guests 😀

The best part? No matter how hot it gets outside, the cave stays beautifully cool even in this August heat. Perfect for a great night’s sleep No air con needed when nature does the job just perfect 🛏️

🚴‍♀️Explore whilst on holiday at Cuevas Helena Holidays on E-Bikes 🚴‍♀️

Our son Daryl & Grandson Lawson who are here at the moment in holiday , we organised electric bike hire for them through Ociodeporte.es & they absolutely loved it 🚴‍♂️

The bikes were a brilliant way to explore the countryside around the caves. With electric assist, even the hills were easy and the views made it more than worth it!

It’s a fun, eco-friendly way to enjoy the peace, nature, and beauty of this part of Andalucía.

If you’re staying with us, we can help you arrange e-bike hire in advance so everything’s ready when you arrive. Great for couples, families, or anyone wanting to explore the area in a different way.

🌳 Tree Transformation Time at Cuevas Helena Holidays 🌳

When we first bought the cave 11 years ago, there wasn’t a single tree on the land — not one! Today, we’re watching in awe as every single tree is getting beautifully reshaped by the amazing Centro de Jardinería Zuaime, the very same talented hands that planted them all those years ago 🌳

What a journey it’s been… from barren land to our own little green paradise 🌴
