🎉 30,000 people expected for Benidorm Fancy Dress Day!

And this year is shaping up to be another spectacular celebration!

Benidorm Town Hall has revealed the plans for Thursday 12 November, with 18 floats and entertainment groups already registered for the big parade.

The party starts from 2pm, with the main parade getting underway after 4pm around the Rincón de Loix.

And to think it all started 32 years ago with a small party at Sinatra’s pub!

Now it’s being promoted as possibly Europe’s biggest fancy dress celebration.

Who’s going to be among those 30,000 people this year?

Seven young loggerhead turtles making their way back into the Mediterranean after spending over a year being cared for at the Oceanogràfic in Valencia.

I was lucky enough to be there on Poniente Beach to capture this lovely moment, just goes to show there’s so much more to Benidorm than sunshine, bars and beaches! ☀️❤️

⚠️ EU launches investigation into Booking,com over holiday scams

This is important news for anyone booking accommodation online.

The European Commission has today launched a formal investigation into Booking,com over concerns about fake accommodation listings, fraudulent payment requests and phishing scams.

It’s also examining whether hotels paying for higher search rankings are being clearly identified as advertisements.

One particular concern involves scammers impersonating hotels and sending guests convincing requests for additional payments.

Booking,com says it’s cooperating fully with the investigation.

Importantly, no breach has yet been established.

My advice? If you receive an unexpected request for payment, contact your hotel independently before handing over any money.
