The average age of visitors to Benidorm is dropping every single year. Young Spanish families, digital nomads, wellness tourists, and adventure travellers are all discovering what the rest of us already knew. They're just a bit late to the party.

✈️ RYANAIR IS CUTTING 2 MILLION SEATS THIS WINTER… COULD FLIGHTS GET MORE EXPENSIVE? 👀

Ryanair has announced it will reduce its planned passenger traffic by around 2 million this financial year, with the cuts focused on the winter period from November to March.

The reason? Fuel.

Ryanair says high oil prices mean it makes sense to reduce its exposure to the 20% of its fuel that isn't currently hedged. The airline expects the move could reduce its winter losses by between €70 million and €100 million.

But this is the bit holidaymakers should probably be watching...

Ryanair is warning that if oil prices remain high, short-haul European airfares could rise “materially” in summer 2027.

That DOESN’T mean your existing Ryanair flight has been cancelled, and it doesn’t mean every route is losing seats. This is an overall capacity reduction across the airline.

But fewer seats combined with higher fuel costs certainly makes the next few months interesting for anyone planning a winter break or already looking at summer 2027.
