So close you can feel it.
After miles of walking, laughter, and shared stories, this moment at Monte do Gozo is pure joy. Santiago is just around the corner—and so is the feeling of having done something unforgettable. 💛

Not all detours on the Camino are worth following! If you see a fellow pilgrim stepping off the trail, give them their privacy—they’re probably on a different kind of journey. 😅🚽

Every year the unofficial start date of the Camino season begins with the reopening of the Napoleon Route over the Pyrenees, from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Roncesvalles. This typically happens on April 1st, 𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚'𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙖 𝙡𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙣'𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. This is also when the majority of pilgrim services across Spain reopen.

The Napoleon Route usually closes on October 31st. Buen Camino in 2025!

🐝 Camino Tip: Stop and Smell the Roses… Carefully! 🌹✨

The Camino is full of little joys—like the scent of fresh flowers along the way. But before you get too close… watch out for unexpected buzzing visitors!

We may not be the only Camino tour operator, but we are the only that provides van support with: a driver AND two guides on our guided tours*. 🚐😎😊😁

This means that there are three sets of eyes looking out for you on the trail, and that you will see your driver and the van several times along the stage. We'll also take care of your luggage between hotels. Featured in the pic is what we call a van or minibus. Also featured is Fernando, (yes, just like the song).

Having van support along the trail also allows for pick-ups, shorter stage options, water refills and a personal space for your things on board.

Our mantra regarding van support on tour: ''Let us do the lifting while you do the walking.'' 😀

*tours with 10 or more participants.

🌞Long days, golden light, and the magic of the Camino de Santiago in summer.

Imagine walking through Galicia’s lush forests, where the shade keeps you cool and the fresh air fills your lungs. With each step, you embrace the slow rhythm of the journey—no rush, just the beauty of the landscapes around you.

At the end of the day, there’s time to relax: a refreshing drink, good company, and the satisfaction of knowing that tomorrow, the path awaits again.

✨ This is summer on the Camino. Are you ready to experience it?

Walk the Camino and reach Santiago de Compostela on July 25th to experience the city’s most festive day of the year.

We've got two tours that arrive to Santiago de Compostela on the day before 📅 🎉
Check out our Calendar on our website.

The Feast of Saint James on July 25th is celebrated every year in the city of Santiago de Compostela where the Apostle is buried.

We're celebrating Tortilla Day with a slice of tortilla for breakfast! 😋
And, if you've walked the Camino, you know exactly how delicious this is.

In the know: the ingredients for a tortilla are: potatoes, eggs, olive oil, salt and onions (optional). A tortilla is best accompanied with a piece of bread, a beer or glass of wine (lunch or dinner), or a café con leche (breakfast).

Our Story

Based in Spain, we develop our routes from our backyard with our firsthand knowledge of the land and the people. We painstakingly keep abreast of the latest developments and change with local hotels, restaurants, and suppliers by visiting and conferring with them regularly to assure that they are up to our prime standards. We will truly take you off-the-beaten path and introduce you to our friends and favorite secret spots.

Traveling with our company is a very different experience than traveling with a large tour operator that sends one of their many employees to one of their many destinations. We specialize in Spain, our home, and we strive to cater to all your needs. At Fresco Tours, we take the challenge to heart of ensuring that your vacation is all that it can be. Our guides are handpicked and go through a rigorous training period to ensure that they share our vision. We are constantly keeping our eyes and ears peeled to get feedback during your trip, in hopes to make those minor adjustments or special details that will make your trip so memorable. After all, at the end of the tour, we hope to be more than just your tour company – we hope to become your friends.
