🌿 A Journey Home: The Azores, Reconnecting with Roots 🇵🇹

This past week, we had the honor of organizing a truly special trip to the Azores, one that went far beyond sightseeing.

An American family traveled to these islands in search of something deeply personal: their family history. Though born in the US, their hearts were rooted in the Azores, the land their ancestors once called home.

With the help of our extraordinary local team across three islands, this trip became a journey of discovery. Government workers, church communities, local historians, neighbors… everyone came together to help. In just one week, the family uncovered answers they had been seeking for over 50 years. Documents, stories, and, most importantly, connections.

It’s moments like this that remind us why we do what we do. Travel isn’t just about places, it’s about people, purpose, and belonging. 💙
