Competa Hikes is a walking/hiking tour company, based in the beautiful white washed village of Competa, nestled within the Almejera mountains of Andalusia. Our mission is to provide an opportunity for walkers of all abilities to explore this beautiful and historic region, the best walking region in Spain, and enjoy the wonder of these mountains. This part of Spain has a temperate climate all year
round, and apart from the hot summer months of June – September, the conditions are ideal for hiking and walking. Competa Hikes offers full packaged guided walking and hiking tours, including:

Our walking guides offer knowledge of the history of the area, knowledge of the wildlife and knowledge of the fauna all around the mountains. We have set the tour dates in our Dates for your Diary page, on our website, for 2014-2015, but we are also flexible on our dates for group bookings. We have defined walking tour itineraries, following the criss-crossing mountain goat tracks, the gorges cut out by meandering rivers, and the trails worn through these mountains by hundreds of years of trading routes of the Moors and Catholics, between Malaga and Granada. We are also flexible to allow you to build your own itinerary, should you wish to, under our guidance and knowledge of the area. Competa Hikes offers its own accommodation for up to 20 people. This means that we can keep our total inclusive price low compared to other walking tour companies that place their clients in outsourced accommodation sites. Additionally, our accommodation all sits on one site, nicely placed to give privacy but equally close for large connected group bookings.
