Remember that Tax Returns in Spain are filed in arrears. i.e this year’s declaration relates to fiscal year 2024.
Who should file their tax return?
✅ Spanish residents earning more than 22,000€ per year from one income source or employer or earnings over 15,000€ per year from multiple income sources or employers.
✅ Self employed workers (autónomos).
✅ Property owners that rent their property out in Spain.
✅ If you claim benefits you may also want to submit a personal tax declaration, as in most scenarios you will have to prove your income to remain on said benefits.
