Lunch in a furancho, casual eating places located in impromptu places like sheds, garages, vineyards and outbuildings allowed for a few months as long as they sell their own production of wine. Typically Galician. Usually from Easter to June or until the wine runs out!

Someone has started making wine with the grapes from the vineyards near our house. It’s still in early stages but in a few years we might be able to buy it.

Two photos of Barra beach, including one of the lovely chiringuito (beach restaurant), and one of a beach in Pintens on the Ria de Aldan, all taken this week. The beaches are not crowded as the municipality is not allowing car access within 2 km from the beaches for people not staying within the municipality. Restaurants are open, with a lot of seating outside and staff are wearing masks. All fairly normal now that we are getting used to it.

Hello, we have had several cancellations from travellers coming from abroad (including us) so I have updated the calendar. Look on the website for availability, mainly in June and July. www.caminodeplaya.com The house is totally isolated and the beaches almost empty, so no problem having a safe holiday there.
