Some places are worth visiting even if you’re not playing.

During my stay in Osaka, I wanted to discover Utsubo Tennis Center, one of Japan’s most iconic urban tennis venues.

What impressed me most wasn’t the stadium itself.

It was the atmosphere.

Children finishing school and heading straight to practice.
Adults arriving after work.
Coaches running sessions on every court.
Players warming up together in the park before stepping onto the court.

Tennis here isn’t just a sport.
It’s part of everyday life.

As someone working in sports tourism, these visits help me understand what makes each destination unique and how local sports culture creates authentic travel experiences.
