The Spanish seem to be doing something right to be approaching the best life expectancy in the world. Visit the Costa de la Luz - is it the clean, golden sandy beaches, beautiful countryside, Mediterranean diet full of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, 300 days of sunshine per year?

Of course, we think The Guardian has got it slightly wrong - don’t finish at Jerez, you’ll miss the beautiful Costa de la Luz!
