Most people know us for motorcycles, trail riding and adventure.
But if you've been around Dust Devils long enough, you'll know there's another thing that's always been close to our hearts; rescue dogs. 🐾
Over the years, there have been a lot of them. From puppies abandoned near the river in Guaro, to a starving Staffy cross spotted high in the hills whilst out riding. Some have needed a little help, others have needed a lot, but they've all deserved a second chance.
At the centre of it all is Melinda, who has rescued more than 400 dogs over the years. At one point, there were over 40 rescue dogs living at home while she worked tirelessly to care for them and find them new homes.
These days things are a little quieter, but then along came Pluto.
An eight-month-old Mastiff weighing just 19kg when he should be closer to 45kg. Weak, exhausted and struggling to survive on his own.
Today, he's safe, receiving veterinary care, good food, plenty of rest, and lots of attention from Melinda and the rest of the pack.
It's not just Melinda. Martin, our guide and mechanic, has two rescue dogs of his own. In fact, every one of us at Dust Devils has a rescue dog at home.
We'll keep you updated on Pluto's progress, but for now he's exactly where he needs to be.
Sometimes the best things we do have nothing to do with motorcycles at all ❤️
