Some new routes at Abdet. A few minutes walk from the houses and all grade 4s and 5s on great rock! Thanks to Rockfax for the help with the equipment (they funded the replacement of the old belays that were already at the top of the crag). Swift flying close by on the Serrella Ridge. A real treat. The ridge walks around Abdet offer great views and even in summer are quite OK to do as the altitude and breeze moderate the temperatures. There are a few high passes that allow you to start well above 1000 metres. More info at www.abdet.com

Abdet is a great base for holidays all year around. Climbing, walking, cycling, running, swimming. Or you can just relax and enjoy the amazing views of course. Some new easy climbing routes at Abdet, Mark Eddy of Mountain Journeys paid a visit to check them out, see his write up below . They should be popular routes as they are all grades 4 and 5, easy to access and offer steep slab climbing with a great variety of features. Topo to follow.

A few days exploring around Abdet. The trails are bone dry and having a proper mountain bike here is great fun. Found a nice buttress of rock near the village to develop some easy grade 3,4 and 5 climbs over the next few days. (see last photo). We have plenty of space for anyone who wants to come and enjoy the sunshine!

Abdet is a great venue for adventure. Walking, scrambling, climbing, cycling, wildlife, swimming, etc. Enjoy the amazing sunrises from the village and the peaceful mountain environment. We have plenty of space over the next few months. Please get in touch for details.
