d artist’s studios of this land we love. Gabriella Ranelli de Aguirre is a Spanish food expert who contributes to Spanish and international media. Considered the leading foreign observer of the Basque Culinary scene Gabriella holds a Masters degree in Viticulture and Oenology and as the founder of Tenedor Tours has spent the last 20 years working closely with chefs to convey the wonders of Spanish foods and wines to the English speaking world. She teaches at the Basque Culinary Center and runs Gabriella’s Kitchen, a cooking school and wine tasting center, in San Sebastian

Gabriella and her team provide a bi-lingual, bi-cultural service to the traveller who’s interested the real story - in going where the guidebooks don’t.

Classic stewed mushrooms 🍄 from They created a sea change in the history of pintxos at a time when many places were still serving a few conserves with calamares and croquetas reserved for weekends. In the 50s Bar Martinez started skewering up these just spicy enough babies and soon people were six deep at the bar with a line out the door. Their neighbors took notice and started developing their own specialties giving locals another reason to continue their quests for the perfect bite. Join us to find yours!
