Sorry we have been a bit quiet on here recently… we’ve been busy and after months of planning we have finally launched our brand new e-bike holiday!!! Riding through the Andalucian countryside bursting with wild flowers, incredible views, delicious picnics… what’s not to love!!! 7 days to cherish it and paired up with a huge sense of satisfaction after each day!!! Newsflash!!! A new e-bike holiday is starting in the Spring. 9th - 16th May 2024.
Come and explore this beautiful part of the world on an electric mountain bike riding along trails, through forests and along country lanes.
We stay in private houses and small hotels tucked amongst the mountains and valleys of the Serranía de Ronda.
This is a journey where the food and wine play equal importance to the joy of taking exercise in this beautiful part of Spain.

Join us this evening in the sixth of our ‘fireside chats’ on zoom.
Brigadier Ian Campbell is giving a first hand account about his participation in the Falklands War. Ian will present to us his first-hand story of that epic feat and give us a compelling and vivid description of the 'yomp' and infantry fighting, but also a penetrating insight into the realities of war at the higher levels as well as a wider reflection on the Falklands War and conflict in general.

Not for the faint hearted…. 🧗‍♂️ As well as all the other activities we have nearby Via Ferrata appealed to our current house party guests celebrating a 40th birthday. A gang of us this morning headed off with our lovely guide Fran to see griffin vultures and wonderful views, whilst completing this iron walkway harnessed on for a series of ascents, descents, zip lining and climbing for a fun morning. This is all takes place in our local village of Gaucín!

Early morning stretches form an essential part of the Berber Camino!! This was our lovely enthusiastic group this morning before setting off on the stunning walk from Almuna and ending up in Tarifa.

This holiday is spread over 7 nights with an excellent balance of good food and wine, well-being, exercise and comfort - these all form an important part of all our holidays. The new season is under way!

Our first Birds & Botanical Ramble are here at Almuña for a week organised with the help of Sue Eatock & Javier Hidalgo.

Sue lives in the mountain town of Grazalema, studying the hugely rich plant and insect life in the area. Javier Hidalgo, our ornithologist, is from Sanlucar de Barrameda where his family have made sherry, Manzanilla and brandy since the 18th century.

This time of year, the part of Andalucia is ablaze with an incredible display of wild flowers and is simply beautiful with mountainous and wooded scenery interspersed with white villages chiselled in to the hillside. A week full of gentle rambles and a visit to Sanlucar and the Coto Doñana National Park as we identify many species of birds, plants and anything else of interest to the naturalist."
