Its that time of year again. They have started picking the Olive harvest. They are being picked by hand and machine this year its fascinating to watch the trees shaking and quite back breaking if you do it manually althwe had such a hot summer there are quite a few Olives this year

Vegan paella night at Casa Cruz such amazing fresh ingredients we managed to rustle this beauty up in 30 mins obs had to add some prawns and Chorizo to Als - we offer meat, seafood and vegan Paellas at www.casacruz.info delivered to the villas for €8 a person ... this one was delish... 😋

Inspired by a very dear friend, we decided to make our vegan Christmas cake today, yes its too late, and yes it may not mature but we had fun and it looks lovely.. now to drip feed it with booze and find some vegan marzipan ready for Christmas.... still some availability here at www.casacruz.info

Made a delicious Vegan Paella for our tea last night with amazing fresh veg the colours and smell and taste was out of this world (i suspect we may be having it again tonight).

Our lovely neighbour Maria just left us a huge bag of wonderful fresh broad beans from their garden they are just amazing and taste divine.. we are taking bookings at www.casacruz.info for this year and still have a few dates in September. Take care and enjoy the sunshine (and the beans) xx

The first pair of Montagu Harriers arrived back to our village today... their normal hunting field has just been changed into an olive grove so lets hope that they can cope with this change... they are beautiful birds and don't have any fear of humans or cars - book your stay at www.casacruz.info and we can arrange Mediterranean birdwatching expeditions xx

Great News on these dark January evenings whether you are in lockdown or not , we just found out that the Junta De Andalucia (Andalucias Parliament) have decided to fund.a Covid19 insurance for all stays in Andalucia this year.... if you have any problems during your stay here, they will fund medicsl bills, hospital stays, medicines, hotel stays, and repatriation all for free, even if you dont have your own travel insurance (we recommend you take one out before travel) but the junta will cover you.if covid does strike... here is the link.and the QR code (if ypu use the QR code go to menu.and change Idioma to EN Also here at Casa Cruz we have decided that if you book direct with us and cannot travel we will allow you to.move dates and if necessary provide a refund during 2021.

1st of November here at www.casacruz.info we are safe and sound in local lockdown and its gorgeous just planting some spring bulbs daffodils alliums and tulips and believe it or not I did jump in.the pool was a bit nippy but very refreshing.... just drying off now in the sun with Sooty..... hopefully when the bulbs come into flower youll be able to stay in one of our beautiful villas...
