Good morning! Spain is beginning to open! Although still "Amber" (UK), Spain has reduced its restrictions allowing tourism back (as from last Monday, May 24th) with NO COVID TEST required to enter at airports and ports. There is no quarantine rules once you enter Spain. If you wish to travel over you can do so! You will need to check however with your Travel Insurance provider that you are covered. Let´s hope the UK soon change Spain from Amber to Green!

Some good information for the British to learn while they are here over next few weeks should they need to go out on the streets

As there may be more military/police on the streets as of Monday due to the State of Alarm, thought I’d give some easy Spanish phrases for you to explain why you’re out, if asked

* Voy al supermercado - I’m going to the supermarket
* Voy al médico - I’m going to the doctor
* Voy al hospital - I’m going to the hospital
* Voy a la farmacia - I’m going to the pharmacy
* Voy al estanco - I’m going to the tobacconist
* Voy a la gasolinera - I’m going to the petrol station
*Voy al trabajo - I’m going to work

*Necesito comprar medicina - I have to buy medicine
*Necesito comprar comida - I have to buy food supplies
*Necesito echar gasolina - I have to get petrol

(Voy is pronounced ‘boy’ )

Hello. As you are all now obviously aware BENIDORM is on LOCKDOWN.

As of tonight Sunday March 15th Benidorm goes into FULL ARMY PATROLLED LOCKDOWN meaning you are not permitted out of your hotel or apartment or residence unless you are...
Going chemist
Going supermarket
Going to work (if you would somewhere where you are permitted to be going to)
Walking a dog
Going To***co shop
Doctors clinic or vets

You will be stopped and asked to show proof of where you are going or explain.

The beach is shut as are all bars clubs restaurants shows etc

This is all absolutely awful and terrible for everyone.

ICELAND SUPERMARKET up near Benidorm Palace is OPEN Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm for stock. Full stock available.
