🇺🇸: Before the wine reaches the glass, there is a much longer story to understand.
It begins with the land.
With the composition of the soil, its minerals, its texture, and everything beneath the surface that quietly shapes the vine. But terroir is never just geography.
There is also the hand of the grower.
The decisions made throughout the year. The way the vineyard is understood, cared for, and allowed to express itself.
And eventually, all of those choices arrive in the glass.
That is one of the things I look for when designing a wine tour: helping you connect what you taste with where it comes from.
Because mineral character, landscape, soil, and human knowledge are not separate stories.
They are all part of the same wine.
And understanding them is one of the most beautiful ways to understand Rioja.

🇪🇸: Antes de llegar a la copa, el vino tiene una historia mucho más profunda.
Todo comienza en la tierra.
En la composición del suelo, en sus minerales, en su textura y en todo aquello que ocurre bajo nuestros pies y que, silenciosamente, da forma a la viña. Pero el terroir nunca es solo geografía.
También está la mano del agricultor.
Las decisiones que toma durante todo el año. Su manera de comprender la viña, de cuidarla y de permitir que exprese aquello que la hace diferente.
Y, finalmente, todo llega a la copa.
Por eso, cuando diseño un wine tour, busco conectar lo que pruebas con el lugar del que procede.
Porque la mineralidad, el paisaje, la tierra y la mano del hombre no son historias separadas.
Forman parte del mismo vino.
Y comprender esa conexión es, quizá, una de las formas más profundas de comprender Rioja.
