If there’s one time to go up to Teide National Park, it’s now. The red tajinaste only blooms for a few weeks, and the show is nearly over.

You can catch them from the road. But walking through them — spikes taller than you, Teide behind — is the full version, and the park only gives you that on foot.

If you’re still on the island this week, you’re lucky. Take the chance before they go to seed.

No one wants to find this halfway through a hike.

It doesn’t matter if it “breaks down eventually” — paper, wipes, all of it
goes back in your bag and comes out with you. A small zip bag in your
backpack is all it takes.

Don’t leave it anywhere. Just take it with you.

Playa san Juan is one of my favourite places in Tenerife, it's not the best beach on the island, but I like the atmosphere here, the nice local people, the restaurants and the nice walk along the coast.

🚶‍♀️Coast path El Pris - Mesa del Mar

El Pris is a small 🐠fishing town in the north of Tenerife, where you will find a relaxed atmosphere, a nice pool with ocean water and a restaurant offering Canarian specialities.
