Amazing tour riding through “Pueblos Blancos” from Estepona to Pico Veleta (Sierra Nevada) in Granada.
PICO VELETA is one of the great cycling challenges in Europe. The mountain is the third highest peak in Spain, and also the highest paved road in Europe. And we made it! 😍💪🚴‍♀️🚴.

Alberto and his friends kicked off an epic six-day gravel ride from Pamplona, looping through the quiet backroads of the Basque Country, La Rioja, and Navarra. It was the kind of trip where the days blur into a mix of wild landscapes, endless pedaling, and nonstop laughs.

The route was pure magic — winding through sleepy villages, remote trails, and some seriously jaw-dropping spots. They powered through the surreal, Mars-like desert of Bardenas Reales and later found themselves riding under the green canopy of the Irati Forest, one of Europe’s largest and most untouched beech-fir woods. From sunbaked plains to cool, misty climbs, every day brought a new vibe.

There was barely any traffic — just gravel roads, the crunch of tires, and the occasional sheep. Evenings were for local food, cold beers, and recharging in cozy rural guesthouses. No crowds, no noise — just the crew, the ride, and the open road.

By the time they rolled back into Pamplona, legs sore but spirits high, they had racked up unforgettable memories. It wasn’t just a ride — it was a full-on escape into the quiet corners of northern Spain, where the only thing louder than the silence was their laughter.
