Two countries, one guided road tour.

We leave Málaga for Ronda and the Sierra de Grazalema, cross into Portugal along the Guadiana, ride down to the Algarve and Cabo de São Vicente, then up the coast to Lisbon, Sintra and Cabo da Roca, before Évora and Seville bring us back to Málaga.

Asphalt all the way, a guide leading the group and a support vehicle carrying the luggage.

Málaga to Dakar on two wheels.

On 18 December we leave Málaga and ride south: down through Morocco, across Western Sahara, over the border into Mauritania and on to Saint-Louis and Dakar, with a day in Dakar and Gorée Island at the end.

Close to 3,700 km in 8 riding days. A certified Aries guide leads the way, a support vehicle carries the luggage, and we handle the logistics: visas, border crossings and hotels. Ferry from Spain to Morocco included.

It's a route for experienced riders: long days in the saddle and road surfaces that keep changing.

Six days of dirt tracks in northern Morocco. Red earth, Berber villages, and country far from the tourist routes.

The Rif is not the Morocco most people picture. No dunes, no tour buses: mountain country, tracks between villages, and the kind of landscape that is still there because nobody built a road through it.

Never ridden off-road before? That is fine. Our guides adapt the pace and the route to the group, so this trip works for road riders trying dirt for the first time as much as for people who already ride it.

The Grand Morocco Guided Tour leaves Málaga on 23 October: eleven days across the Atlas, the Todra and Dadès gorges, the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Draa Valley and the dunes of Merzouga.

Three things happened along this stretch. Only one of them was planned.

The switchbacks were: a line of white marl cutting down through the badlands, steep enough that from the viewpoint above you assume nobody rides it.

The bridge came as a bonus. Wooden planks, poplars on both sides, the kind of crossing everyone slows down for without being told.

The goats were not on the schedule. We waited.

Off Road Málaga runs on tracks we ride through the seasons, in groups small enough to stop when something like this happens.
