Seven kilometres north of Nerja, perched high on a ridge in the Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama mountains, is the picturesque town of Frigiliana, undoubtedly one of the best of the typical Andalusian ‘White Villages’. It offers some of the most spectacular views in the Costa del Sol. The layout and appearance of the historic quarter is the result of urban design from the Arab period.

The village is a maze of narrow, cobbled streets lined with white-washed houses and best explored on foot. The old historical centre of Frigiliana, distinctively Moorish in appearance and design, is a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets and alleyways, a great place to wander aimlessly…or even with a purpose
