Today we have visited the Alcázar de Segovia.

🏰 It is a stunning medieval castle perched on a rocky hill, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
With its fairytale-like towers and unique ship-prow shape, it looks like something out of a storybook.

Originally built as a fortress, it later served as a royal palace, a prison, and even a military academy. The interior is beautifully preserved, with richly decorated rooms, tapestries, and armor displays. Walking through its halls feels like stepping back in time.

📍The Alcázar is truly one of Spain’s most iconic and picturesque historical landmarks. An unforgettable experience!

Lunch? 🍽️ Mesón Fiscal – only 15 km from Segovia and totally worth the trip!

Beti Jai is a historic sports venue in Madrid, built in 1894 and designed by architect Joaquín Rucoba. 🏏🏏Original used for Basque pelota matches, it fell into disuse after 1919 and served various purposes over the years.
The building was declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 2011 and underwent restoration, completed in 2019. Since March 2024, it has been open to the public for free visits, offering guided tours and a center of interpretation.

‘Beti Jai’ means ‘Always Festive’ in Basque, reflecting its original purpose as a lively sports arena.
Today, it stands as a unique example of neo-Mudéjar architecture and cultural heritage.
