Diseñado por Bjarke Ingels Group (), el próximo Aeropuerto Internacional de Gelephu servirá a la visionaria Ciudad de Mindfulness de Gelephu.
Hecha con madera de glulam de origen local y adornada con tallas tradicionales butanesas, la estructura modular honra el simbolismo espiritual del pilar de Kachen.

Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (), the upcoming Gelephu International Airport will serve the visionary Gelephu Mindfulness City. Made with locally sourced glulam timber and adorned with traditional Bhutanese carvings, the modular structure honors the spiritual symbolism of the Kachen pillar.
More than a transit hub, this airport will blur the line between architecture and nature—letting forests flow through immigration, security, and departure gates. Projected to handle 5.5M passengers by 2065, it's a bold blend of culture, sustainability, and national ambition.
