10 years ago, we took our oldest to meet Mickey for the first time.

We had no idea what we were starting.

What followed was wild horses. Finding your favorite animal in Costa Rica. Waterslides she still talks about. Alligators in the Everglades. Dolphins that swam beside her. Red rocks older than time. Geysers that made all three of them gasp. Their first time upside down on a coaster in Paris.

They won’t remember the flights, or the cost, or the planning.

We’ll just hope they remember how it felt.

I’m not going to stop posting until everyone catches up to what European Disney fans have known for years — Disneyland Paris is what Disney World used to be 🏰

Florida is a generation behind. Tag someone who needs to know.

The travel advisor advice no one wants to give first-time Disney families:

You’re booking too many park days.

Yes. We mean that. The best Disney trip isn’t the longest one — it’s the one your family actually enjoys.

Here’s what we actually tell first-timers:
✦ 4-5 nights total
✦ 3 park days (not 4)
✦ 1 FULL rest day at the resort/pool
✦ Built-in mid-day breaks on park days (back to the resort 1-4pm, then return)
✦ Stack your Lightning Lanes for evening returns so your second park session is line-free

The families who do 5 park days back-to-back with no breaks come home wrecked.

The ones who follow this formula? They’re booking their next trip from the airport on the way home.

Save this if you’re planning Disney in 2026 or 2027 — and tag the person you’re booking it with. They need to see this BEFORE you pick your dates.

Hey DCL families! 🚢 Big policy changes just dropped for Disney Cruise Line — effective June 3, 2026.
Here’s the quick rundown:
🚪 Door décor is now limited to your door only — no corridor walls, no ceilings, no adhesives. Cause damage and it’s a $100 fine.
🍷 Alcohol carry-on drops from 2 bottles to just 1 (or a six-pack of beer). Port purchases get held by ship security until the end of your cruise.
📸 Selfie sticks must stay under 18 inches when on the ship.

The good news? The corkage fee dropped to $20. Small win!

Swipe through the slides and share with anyone who has a sailing coming up.

Stop telling Disney World first-timers to “just wing it.” That advice is going to ruin their trip

We’re a family of 5 AND we plan Disney trips for a living. We can tell you the families who show up without a plan don’t have “magical spontaneous moments” — they have meltdowns, $400 dining mistakes, wrong-park-day disasters, and a 4-year-old crying because the parade they wanted to see was at the OTHER park today.

“Just wing it” is what people say when they don’t want to admit Disney World is actually complicated. It IS complicated. That’s why families hire planners. That’s why apps like Genie+ exist. That’s why dining reservations open 60 days out.

2 hours of planning saves $2,000 and a thousand meltdowns. We’ll die on this hill.

Only ONE Disney park in the entire world has a hotel built ON TOP of its main entrance 🤯
And it’s not Magic Kingdom. Not Disneyland California. It’s Disneyland Paris — where guests literally walk through the hotel lobby to enter the park itself.

But the real magic is Castle Club, the private VIP floor inside the Disneyland Hotel. It has its own concierge lounge, exclusive views over the park, and a separate private entrance directly into Disneyland Paris. It’s one of the most exclusive Disney experiences anywhere in the world, and most American Disney fans have never even heard of it.

(And before anyone says it 😉 — yes, I know Grand Californian has private access to California Adventure. Paris just took the concept and built a different level of luxury around it.)

If you’ve ever dreamed of a true bucket-list Disney trip, Castle Club is the one.

Have any of you ever stayed at the Disneyland Hotel in Paris? Tell me about it below 👇

14 years. A BATHROOM. That was Rapunzel’s only “attraction” at Walt Disney World until Disneyland Paris stepped in and gave her an actual ride this year 😭
Florida had every chance. Paris said “fine, I’ll do it myself.”

Team Rapunzel-deserved-better or team the-bathroom-was-iconic? ⬇️
