Hi all… just wanted to say we’re home. We ended up renting a car from Santiago de Compostela and drove to Madrid about six hours. We spent a day there and then took the 11 hour flight home. We appreciate you following and checking out our travel. Here are some pics from Madrid and believe me, my wheels are already spinning for the next trip! 👀

We made it… it brought tears to our eyes for sure. Lots of pictures yet to be seen… this is a good smattering of our day! Only 10 miles today… the reward is amazing🥹

Just a wake up left on the Camino Ingles 👣. We’ve covered about 66.16 miles or 106.5 km so far with about 10 miles left to go. It has been a journey to say the least. We probably should’ve split up the last 3 days and spent the extra day but we’d rather hike and see the country vs sit in a hotel room complaining about 😆. Some pics today, mostly rain but not as bad as yesterday with the bonus of mostly down hill and only a 711’ elevation gain.

We met Elke NE and Lily today from Germany… they were so excited it was my birthday, they sang happy birthday in both English and German 💕 . We got a lot of laughs and a pilgram little hand. 🥹

A rainy, wet and cool 16.99 mile day… Not much to say besides, wow… what a climb… 2480’ evaluation gain.
We are tired and feet are still numb 👣

Early day starting at 6:15 and hiking straight up for the first mile 😮‍💨. We managed a comfortable 13 miles and missed the rains all the way up until the last 10 min of the hike. Will write more later but we are in Betanzos for the evening… Historic-Artistic site and Gothic monuments. One of the best preserved historical centres in Galicia with the oldest parts of the town in medieval walls.
