Aspect Ratios?! 😳🫣🥺
Let us break it down as it isn’t that complicated really…
In todays digital world, with TikTok, IG, FB, TV, Websites, YouTube it’s increasingly difficult to know in what aspect ratio to shoot.
We like to keep it simple with the big 3…
🙌🏽 Widescreen - traditional format for videographers over the years with it being perfect for websites and YouTube/TV.
Res 1920x1080px or 16:9 but be careful there are preferred sizes for different platforms!*
*When a platform resizes your video or content, you will lose some quality so be careful!
🙌🏽 Square - more and more being used for photos and social media videos (hybrid) and gets passed and rendered usable by most mediums!
Resolution 1080x1080px or
1:1 aspect ratio more commonly as px size can vary
🙌🏽 Portrait - Reels and stirs, say no more…portrait shooting has blown up over the last few years with the likes of IG, TikTok and FB keeping us engaged with short videos in this ration!
Resolution 1080x1920px or 9:16 ratio and again be sure to check what is preferred (especially on Reels 🫣)
