Let us take you through the perennial garden this early summer, where there are countless new flowering plants to explore. Towering sunflowers 🌻, silky white tree peonies, divine orange pomegranate blossoms, and striking violet cardoons share the garden with white whirling butterflies and the ethereal blue sky flower. A lush garden in a beautiful valley of Andalusia with thousands of plants, all waiting to be celebrated.

We made it! Today we received the results for the huge BERLIN international olive oil competition.

SILVER for our Extra virgin olive oil GARDEN OF LEMONS BLEND.

GOLD for the GARDEN OF LEMONS 🍋 EARLY HARVEST. (tidlig høst)

Without you this adventure in our beloved Valley Valle de Lecrín in the campo of Granada wouldn’t have been posible.

Study workshop with Pia Søltoft - a Danish philosopher, theologian, and author.

Pia Søltoft has written extensively on Kierkegaard’s philosophies of love, existentialism, and personal leadership. Subjects she will explain and discuss with the participants at this week’s conference at Garden of Lemons. 🍋

It’s Sunday and the lemon trees are bursting with 🍋!!
So here comes the perfect lemony recipe- (in Danish… ) 🇩🇰

Lemon bars

Vi afslutter altid middagene på GARDEN of LEMONS med en dessert. Én af signatur desserterne er lemon bars, der indeholder alt det, der gør en kage uimodståelig, - noget sødt, syrligt, blødt og sprødt!

Kagen består af en bagt smørsprød bund, der dækkes med et lag blød og syrlig citroncreme, der bages så cremen lige når at sætte sig. Vi bruger helst Meyer citroner, som er en variant af citroner, og en krydsning mellem citron og mandarin i cremen. Disse citroner har en mildere og finere krydret smag end almindelige citroner, og er derfor særligt gode i kager.

Lemon bars minder på en måde om en fransk citron tærte, men vi serverer dog som oftest de udskårne barer uden en sprød marengs på toppen, selv om det er en oplagt variation, at sprøjte de enkelte kager lige inden servering med en marengs, der flamberes ganske kort.

Ingredienser
12 personer

Bund
275 g mel
125 g sukker
225 g smør

Citroncreme
2 1/2 dl citronsaft, gerne Meyer citroner
500 g sukker
65 g mel
7 æg

Flormelis
1 -2 citroner, juliennerevet skal

Udstyr en rektangulær metalform, 20x30 cm

Tænd ovnen på 175 grader, varmluft og beklæd en metalform med bagepapir. Smelt smørret i en lille gryde, og bland det med sukker og mel i en røreskål. Når blandingen er glat bredes den ud i metalformen. Brug fingrene til at fordele dejen, og sørg for at dejen når ud i hjørnerne af formen, og har samme tykkelse overalt. Sæt formen i ovnen, og bag bunden i 20-25 minutter og til overfladen er let gylden. Tag formen ud af ovnen.

Mens bunden bages forberedes citroncremen i en røreskål ved at piske sukker, mel, citronsaft og æg sammen til sukkeret er opløst. Når bunden har kølet af i nogle minutter hældes cremen udover bunden, og metalformen sættes tilbage i ovnen, og bages yderligere i ca 25 minutter eller til citroncremen har sat sig. Tag formen ud af ovnen, og lad den køle af. Dæk formen med film, og sæt kagen i køleskabet, - gerne ind til dagen efter.

Lemon bars holder sig 3-4 dage på køl, og den kan fint fryses

We’re just so excited to share this HAPPY NEWS:
in February we send some samples of our latest olive oil to nothing less ambitious than the prestigious LONDON INTERNATIONAL OLLIVE OIL COMPETITION 2026.

It’s the first first olive oil competition we’ve ever joined and the bigger is the excitement: we’ve received a SILVER AWARD!

How cool is that!

Exposing the work of the workshop on Botanical Drawing with American artist Sam McWilliams. Around 20 artists had come from mainly Canada and America to work and to draw- and to have fun at the Garden of Lemons 🍋 in Andalusia, Spain.

And what a difference a week makes.
