👣 With the summer heat rolling in wild hidden tropical waterfall trails and golden mountain sunsets await!

👣 May was just incredible, with our Wilderness & Sound retreat held at the tranquil Costa del Soul, corporate team building events all the way from Canada, and companies here in Marbella, with the Trek n Flow tribes Mountain & Waterfall yoga & meditation adventures! Mountain adventures with the parents group from Laude San Pedro International College, it’s been incredible!

The wilderness was just shining after the rain earlier this year.. With the waterfalls and mountain lakes looking the best I have seen in some time!

Our yearly epic sunrise hike to Cruz de Juanar mountain peak for the incredible mental health charity event Darkness into Light was rained off due to safety reasons, but we will rise again for this incredible community gathering!

Stillness of time deep within the wild rugged Sierra Blanca mountain ranges..

Golden sky’s on 1000 plus meter sandy mountain trails.. So incredible to be apart of this retreat again, descending with heads torches though pine forest mountain trails with the bright stars above us..

With no light pollution deep in the mountains the constellation shine bright, with Venus glowing bright above the mountain ridges, the wild sunset hikes are just an incredible experience!

Saturday 9th May Darkness into Light charity hike rises in strength again!!!

From Ireland to Australia communities gather in large numbers, to stand strong and show empathy and support for those with mental health issues.

Large numbers of our community here are rising in strength to walk into the sunrise, to show solidarity and support for people battling mental health issues. Raising much needed funds and shining a light for those who need it..

Pieta is a mental health charity linked to Afesol Salud Mental here in Spain, providing strength and support for people battling mental health issues.

Join our team to hike to the summit of Cruz de Juanar to watch the most spectacular golden sunrise over the med!!! Standing strong together and showing no one walks alone..!!

Last year showed how strong our community is here on the coast, an incredible turn out with 1000’s of people from all ages walking into the sunrise, with donations over €20,000 raised for Afesol Salud Mental, the Spanish local mental health support & awareness charity.

THE MISSION -

Meeting at 05:45 at La Canada shopping mall entrance, driving to the Refugio de Juanar we will start our approx (6.5km) sunrise ascent under darkness to the Cruz del Juanar summit!

Join our team to watch the sunrise over the med from the mountain summit or donate if you can! Standing strong together!

Finishing around 10:00 for very large Irish coffees!!!! (Optional) 😂😂

Head torches at the start of the hike is advisable - (I have 8 available head torches) A decent one can be bought at Decathlon for 15 euros.

Just incredible Easter spring trekking trails! Just perfect conditions with our wild mountain trails taking us through the largest Pinsapo fir tree forest in Europe!

Just rolling mountain forests in the very heart of the less travelled region of the Sierra de Las Nieves National Park, passing through the less touristy white villages of Yunqeura and Jorox, perched high in these wild green mountain ranges. The wild foraging deep within these mountain ranges is excellent, picking wild sage on trail!

Our mountain trails leading us to a series of hidden caves overlooking this wild untouched landscape.

Sitting at the entrance of these high altitude mountain caves watching eagles soar below is just pure gratitude!

Such an incredible spring hiking season! (As again very late with my social media postings!) 😂😂 more to come!

From Ancient lost Roman cities to the best goats cheese in Andalucia!

Walking in the footsteps of Roman troops to the city of Lacipo!

Incredible adventures again with the parents from Lauda international college, coming up to the tenth Andalusian outback adventure!

Hiking to the originally built in the 1st century BC Roman watch tower and city of Lacipo, with far reaching views towards the Pillars of Hercules defined by the mountain Jebel Musa of North Africa and Gibraltar!

Perched on green hills on the slopes of the Sierra Crestillina mountains, with the fortress walls still intact and Griffin vultures soaring above our trails! Working our way through the scattered ruins of this hidden 2000 year old Roman city..

The sunsets towards North Africa from the Roman watch tower are just incredible!

Finishing sampling the most tasty goats cheese at Quesos Sierra Crestellina! An incredible family run artisan goats cheese farm, such a friendly amazing family who run workshops and the farm shop, an amazing educational experience for children, just the perfect spring wilderness days!

From 9th century mediaeval cave fortresses carved into limestone cliffs overlooking emerald lakes, to walking through the labyrinth of taffoni sandstone rock formations of the Malaga Geopark!

During one of the breaks in the heavy rains, our trail takes us through the less explored wilder northern region of the El Chorro lakes. Forming part of the Malaga Geopark, the incredible malacitano geological GR-340 trail.

From here our trail takes us to the mediaeval rock carved Bombastro Mozarabic ruins, walking through the remains of this 9th century rebel stronghold, with panoramic views stretching across the emerald lakes of El Chorro, feels like stepping back into medieval Andalucia!

The perfect winter days with an incredible team, finishing in one of my favourite lakeside traditional Andalusian restaurants El Mirador! Excellent sightings of a family of Iberian ibex casual walking along narrow trails on the cliffs above the restaurant.

With the weather looking promising now, the schedule for the rest of February and March will going up! 👣👣👣

Debido al trágico accidente ferroviario sucedido esta tarde en la provincia de Córdoba, con el descarrilamiento de dos trenes, con víctimas mortales y numerosos heridos, el Ayuntamiento de Mijas suspende la agenda institucional de mañana lunes 19 de enero.

Además, se convoca un minuto de silencio en la puerta del consistorio a las 12.00 horas en señal de luto y también de solidaridad con los familiares de todos los afectados.

El alma de Mijas está con las víctimas.

The autumn and winter months give us perfect hiking conditions on the wild Atlantic coastal trails of the Costa de la Luz! A region I like to call the Australia of Europe..!

Our trail starts by working our way through a labyrinth sandstone rock maze deep within aeucalyptus forests, a popular rock climbing bouldering spot!

With perfect views through the eucalyptus trees towards the vast white sand dunes of Bolonia and Roman ruins of Balao Claudia. Joining pine forest sandy train to the hidden untouched bay of Playa del Canuelo!

Tarifa just has an energy.. it could be the pristine white hidden bays, the wild atlantic coastal trails, or the energy of the tranquilo surfing communities, it’s a place we naturally gravitate to and has played a huge part in our Andalusian outback adventures!

The famous Almadraba bluefin tuna festivals of Cadiz are really a sight to be seen!

Our next Andalusian outback adventure on the wild Atlantic coastal trails will be on Saturday 24th January! 👣👣👣👣
