As part of HBX Group's 2025 global corporate volunteering programme, we are bringing our commitment to sustainability to life this by collaborating with local partners and communities across multiple areas to carry out a series of clean-up initiatives.

As well as helping to clean our natural spaces, we are also aiming to raise awareness and join the movement to reduce global plastic pollution.

So far, our clean-up initiatives have:

🙋 Involved 47 volunteers
🚮 Collected 973.5kg of waste
🏞️ Taken place across coastal areas, towns and green spaces
🌎 Made a difference in Palma de Mallorca, Italy, Mexico and Bali

We are grateful to the partner organisations who have made our initiatives possible and helped us raise awareness about the impact of plastic pollution.

We look forward to continuing our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility throughout Plastic Free July, 2025 and beyond with many more initiatives planned.

HBX Group has today announced a new three-year strategic agreement with the Spanish multi-brand hotel operator Hesperia World. The collaboration combines HBX Group’s expansive network and advanced distribution technology with Hesperia’s premium properties, driving value and innovation for both partners.

Under this enhanced agreement, HBX Group will hold semi-exclusive distribution rights to Hesperia World hotels operating under the Hesperia brand in Spain and Andorra, with a portfolio of 15 properties, providing unparalleled access for travel professionals.

The properties are now available to HBX Group clients globally.

Carlos Muñoz, Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy CEO of HBX Group, said: "This agreement with Hesperia reflects our unwavering commitment to empowering our B2B clients with access to top-tier inventory. Throughout the past year, we implemented and strengthened our eco-efficiency measures, sustainability awareness and engagement initiatives by:

• Maintaining our carbon neutral status for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions while committing to develop a plan to minimise Scope 3 emissions by 2025-2026

• Managing our digital footprint by piloting the Net Zero Website Smart Label to directly offset any CO2 emissions generated through our website by planting trees in the HBX Group forest

• Recycling waste products including old computer equipment and promotional roll-ups

• Engaging in training to help employees make environmentally conscious business travel choices

• Raising awareness and commitment to environmental protection throughout our value chain through our Supplier Code of Conduct and ESG Policy

At HBX Group, we aim to make sure that all our employee volunteer efforts make a true difference.

To mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a group of 14 volunteers from our office in Palma de Mallorca supported the renovation of the local San Juan de Dios Foundation living space for women survivors of gender-based violence and their young children, helping to make it safer, warmer and more stimulating.

Our volunteers were pleased to also have the opportunity to spend time supporting the children while their mothers worked with trained social workers involved in the charity.

We hope that our contribution has helped the foundation continue their life-changing work and look forward to offering our volunteering support to other important causes this year.
